New Holocron updates are out.  Snoke was dinged for a +1.  Ciena's action is now a power action.  Couple of other things as well.  Long Con was gutted like a dead fish.

Long con is so sad right now, I feel like something else could have been done with it rather than what is basically an outright ban of the card

Award Ceremony was gutted, too. 

I still don't understand why Snoke's 2nd die is only 2 points more than playing him with 1 die. They should have upped him by +1/+2 if cost was what they were going for in changing him. But I would have preferred if they just changed his power action to only work on damage. This change will minorly weaken Snoke/Thrawn, but it'll still be half the decks in the top 8 at every Regional, instead of 7 out of 8, as it was in the Chicago Regional this past weekend. The only difference is that now, Thrawn will start with 2 less health due to Bitter Rivalry. I just don't think that'll slow down the deck's dominance that much.

There are couple of cards that should have been on the errata list but are not - Vader's Fist is among them. As for the Snoke's erratum, it deals collateral damage to several other popular decks. Always when errata deals with some problematic cards, it means the design (or playtesting to a certain degree) has failed.

I don't agree about Vader's Fist or that there is a play testing problem. Note all the problem decks are newer cards interfacing with old cards from the prior regime. Add up the total size of the card pool right now and it is 1160 cards. Trying to playlets out every permutation there is just unfeasible.

Having been a playtester myself for couple of years, the interaction with other (older) cards is as important as testing the playability of the newest cards.

I also am a play tester. And the WORST time to playtest card games is when they are close to rotation because the card pool is typically huge, which makes trying to cover all permutations almost impossible when you have to release product in realistic timeframes. 

This is why I have always lobbied for more aggressive rotations. 1160 is WAY too big a card pool. Before WotC pulled the rug out from under Netrunner (right after Michael Boggs had successfully led a superb drive to fix and revive the meta) I also lobbied in that game (and playtested) for more aggressive rotation. 

I would have had rotation start with the release of the sixth set - at that time the first set rotates out. When set seven comes out then set two rotates out and so on. Thus the meta would always be the five newest sets.

Snoke's main power is his poweraction not his die. People pretty much only used his 2nd die because it happened to fit.

I suspect people will just ditch his Elite status and keep using him.

Or use Bitter Rivals and just take the -2 hp/+1 opp draw.
