Chevee 0 Posted April 15, 2010 Who places resources first? Conspiracy Theorist - FAQ states that if he goes away and both players have 3 won stories, active player wins. What if active player has 3 stories and inactive player has 4 or more... doesn't seem quite fair. I know there's more, but I can't remember right now.... TheProfessor 4 Posted April 15, 2010 I think the logic is that when the Theorist goes away you check for a victory condition. FIrst the active player checks if she/he has won. If so, the game is over. If not, check if the passive player has won...
Kallisti 1 Posted April 15, 2010 I can't remember if there is an actual rule on it (and don't have the rules with me right now). The way we've always done it is that whomever is going first, places resources first. Then the opponent does so. Then the first player starts the game. We also rarely pay any attention to that rule and just place our resources when we've made our decision.

I'm thinking more for a tournament situation. The deck I plan on making the rounds with this year has quite a bit of situational cards and seeing my opponents faction may influence what I use or don't use as resources.... Kallisti 1 Posted April 15, 2010 I have since scoured the Rulebook, FAQ, and CCG FAQ. Can't find anything in there. Nor can I find a link to any current LCG tournament rules (could just be my own searching ineptitude). What I would suggest, is check with the tournament organizer before you play any games. You should also check how things like "mistakes" are to be handled. ("Oops, I tried to play Ward Phillips, and I didn't realize he was Loyal and my domains don't match. What happens?" or... "I accidently drew a third card during my draw phase. What happens?"
Dadajef 0 Posted April 16, 2010 another way to do with the resources is to place the resources at the same moment. Each players places face down on the table their 3 resources and return them at the same moment to show their resources. Then they place the resources under the domains.
