Well yes, technically if we no vote today and scum tried to kill double voter, we could have 4 town votes next day.

Or if we lynch a random vanilla town ( and we get lucky, it's the double voter) and scum does NOTHING at night, we could have 4 town votes.

Both options seem VERY unlikely, and would only happen if scum was dumb. Which they're not, obviously. 

Perhaps Ebon has a special event planned? That's the only other scenario I can imagine.

lynchproof is day only, but in the night actions like last night will have a 50/50 chance, so you could get the double voter and the kill could fail. Hence the day has to play out

That is not gonna work.

Pod and Cal must be the first voters as they're the confirmed scum and that's not gonna happen as they are not going to cooperate.

So or we let the day run out or we make a faith jump on our prime suspect. In both cases there won't be a lynch today or we lynch a townie.

If we lynch the lynchproof we loose as he will die at night. Next day 3vs2

If we lynch the traitor we loose as well as at night they know who to kill. Next day 3vs2

If we lynch a vanilla we loose too, no matter if they shot the traitor. Next day 3vs2 or 3vs1

If we don't lynch and they kill a townie we loose. Next day 3vs2

If we don't lynch and they shot the traitor we loose again. Next day 3vs3 and a sure death next night.

Yeah, this is a lost game.

Scum can just no lynch and kill at night.

We need a scum vote to lynch anyone - and the only one we could potentially kill is the unlynchable for the double vote, and he’d just die at night.
