Putting a Face to the Name: Pilots (Update: Resistance Transport)

Recommended Posts

Been a little bit but we have new pilots so time for more backstory.

Odd Ball, he is from ROTS where he flew as part of Anakin and Obi-Wan's forces, providing the two cover on their way to rescue Palpatine. He served during the Clone Wars as a clone commander where he flew in various battles including Teth, Umbara, notably Coruscant, and survived the battle to later be part of Obi-wan's forces assaulting the Separatist base on Utapau. He flew a variety of ships, with the V-19 being used at the Battle of Teth, a Y-Wing at Umbara, and ARC-170 at Coruscant and Utapau which explains why he seems to be a pilot for both the V-19 and ARC-170.The big difference between him in canon and Legends is that in Legends he was named Davijaan and flew under the call sign 'Odd Ball' rather than his canon self taking on the name 'Odd Ball' and taking on various call signs.

Kickback, he is from Clone Wars where he was part of Blue Squadron. He flew as part of Ahoska's squadron at the Battle of Ryloth, and one of the only two pilots in her squadron to survive the battle.

Axe, he is from Clone Wars where he was part of Blue Squadron. He flew as part of Ahsoka's squadron at the Battle of Ryloth, and ended up getting shot down when the squadron was attempting to retreat back to their carrier ship the Resolute.

Tucker, he is from Clone Wars where he was part of Blue Squadron. He flew as part of Ahsoka's squadron at the Battle of Ryloth, and ended up being shot down by Confederate forces when Ahsoka disobeyed orders to return.

With more pilots revealed I think it has been well over time to do some more of these, so lets start with the ARC-170.

Commander Wolffe, he is from Clone Wars where he served as the commander of the Wolf Pack. He and his Jedi General were first tasked with investigating mysterious attacks on Republic fleets which turned out to be the Malevolence which used its powerful ion super weapon to disable the Jedi's forces causing them to abandon ship in escape pods. Thanks to Plo Koon, Wolffe, Boost and Sinker both survived the incident, and the droid's attempt to crack their pod open, long enough to be rescued by Anakin Skywalker in the Twilight. Sometime after that incident, once Plo Koon's forces had been replenished, he fought alongside Anakin again though would end up losing his eye to Assajj Ventress when she struck him with her blade, he'd go on to have his eye replaced with a cybernetic one. Throughout the war he'd participate or command a variety of battles a few of which were rescue missions like Felucia where he commanded the space forces while Plo Koon led an extraction for Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and their remaining forces as well as when he and his troops helped rescue Anakin and Mace Windu from Boba Fett's attack on Windu's life. During the Clone Wars he also participated in a few other notable events, the mercy mission to Aleen which saw him having to deal with C-3PO annoying him endlessly, helping rescue the Togruta colonists which had been enslaved by the Zygerrians, he was the once to stun and capture Ahsoka Tano after she was expelled from the Jedi Order and accused of the deed, and was there when Plo Koon discovered the lightsaber of Sifo-Dyas. Near the end of the Clone Wars he removed his control chip, which prevented him from being forced to enact Order 66 and he ultimately went on to live with Rex and Gregor, who had done the same, on Seelos where the lived quietly during the Empire's reign until the Kannan, Ezra, Zeb, and Sabine came to seek them out. While they were there it was revealed that not only did Wolffe hide transmissions from Ahsoka meant for Rex but also that he had tipped the Empire off that Jedi were there, all in the hopes to keep his brothers safe from Imperial retribution. He went on to help fight off the Imperial forces sent to Seelos, and made use of one of the AT-AT's as a new home that he and Gregor lived in until the Liberation of Lothal where they assisted the Spectres and in the end they both lost their lives.

Sinker, he is from Clone Wars and was part of Plo Koon's forces the Wolf Pack. During the Clone Wars he was often near his Jedi General often leading to dangerous battles and adventures. When Plo Koon's forces encountered the Malevolence he along with Wolffe and Boost were in the same escape pod as their general and as such were one of the few pods that ended up surviving the Separatist's tactic to crack the pods open. He later participated in a battle on Felucia where Ahsoka was captured by a Trandosian hunter, Lo-Taren, and was tasked to search the surrounding area to find her after the battle. Later in the war he would be part of the forces sent to Aleen to provide aid and would be art of the forces sent to help rescue the Togruta colonists that had been enslaved by the Zygerrians.

Jag, he is from ROTS where he flew with Plo Koon during the Battle of Cato Neimodia. During the battle he flew as Plo Koon's wingman and when Order 66 was given he was the one to shoot down his Jedi General.

Next should I do the Delta-7 or the Sith Infiltrator?

Here are the Delta 7 pilots.

Anakin Skywalker, he is from the entire Star Wars saga. He was created for the original trilogy with the prequel trilogy and two Clone Wars series, among the rest of the Clone Wars multimedia project, helping flesh his post Vader character out. He was born to the slave Shmi Skywalker, and grew up as a slave on Tatooine until his encounter with Qui-Gon Jinn during the Naboo Crisis where Anakin would win his freedom through a wager the jedi had established, the boy going on to accidentally fly a N1 starfighter into a Trade Federation Droid Control ship and destroy it with a well place proton torpedo shot. After the crisis he'd go on to become Obi-Wan's padawan for the next ten years, going on many adventures. It was upon his second meeting with Padme Amidala, after being assigned to protect her by the council, that he became involved in the events leading up to the breakout of the Clone Wars, with him marrying her shortly after the start of the war.

During the early days of the Clone Wars he was elevated from a padawan to a Jedi Knight, with him serving as the Jedi General of the 501st Legion. During the first year of the Clone Wars he was assigned Ahsoka Tano as his padawan with her serving as his unit's commander rather than Rex. Throughout the war Anakin often would fight alongside his former master and his padawan the three facing off against a variety of Separatist commanders, bounty hunters, and the occasional pirate, 'respected businessman' Hondo Ohnaka. As the war raged on he was faced with the damage it did, the losses he had to suffer, and the inefficiency of the order. There were two points that would ultimately send him down his path. The first was during the third year of the Clone Wars when Ahsoka was blamed for a bombing at the Jedi Temple, which resulted in her being expelled from the order and ultimately leaving the order and Anakin behind. In the final days he'd have his final showdown with Count Dooku while rescuing the Supreme Councilor from Separatist 'captivity', it was around this time that he began to see visions of Padme dying that further pushed him over the edge. While he initially gave the information to Mace Windu about Palpatine's true identity it was when Mace was intent on killing Palpatine, the only source that Anakin thought could prevent Padme's death, that he acted out resulting in the two killing Mace Windu. After this he takes on the moniker of Darth Vader, and in exchange for keeping Padme alive he leads the 501st to the Jedi Temple to wipe out all of the Jedi there during Order 66, afterwards he'd likewise go and execute the remaining Separatist leaders on Mustafar. On that lava planet he'd battle his former master, where he lacked the high ground and was so gravely injured that he needed all of his limbs replaced and a new suit to survive. The stinger was that he was led to believe by his new master that he killed his wife in his anger, and with nothing else he served his new master and the empire he helped create.

swz34_anakin.pngRelated image

Obi-Wan, he is from the Original and Prequel Star Wars films. Like most Jedi he was taken to the Jedi Temple shortly after his birth, and eventually he was assigned to Qui-Gon Jinn as the Jedi's padawan. During his studies with his master he'd spend a year on Mandalore, a year in which he helped protect Duchess Satine where the two fell in love, though unlike his eventual padawan he ended up leaving her and keeping to his oath to the order. During the Naboo Crisis he and his master went to mitigate matters with the Trade Federation, until they were full thrust into the matter and ended up helping the Naboo repel the invasion of their planet, with Qui-Gon Jinn and him fighting Palpatine's apprentice Darth Maul. During this battle his master was fatally wounded and despite not having the high ground Obi-Wan was able to slice Darth Maul in half and be the first Jedi in a millennia to strike down a Sith Lord. Following the battle, and keeping with his master's wishes he'd take Anakin Skywalker as his padawan.

Ten years after the Naboo Crisis, while assigned with the task to protect Padme Amildala he'd pursue a mystery that led to his discovery of the Clone army that had been prepared for the Republic for the coming war and he'd be part of the events of the beginning of the war alongside his padawan, Padme, and a good deal of the Jedi order that went to rescue them. During the Clone Wars he'd lead the 212th attack battalion, with Commander Cody serving as his second in command. Throughout the war he'd often would fight alongside Anakin and Ahsoka the three facing off against a variety of Separatist commanders, bounty hunters, and the occasional pirate, 'respected businessman' Hondo Ohnaka. During the war he'd encounter Duchuss Satine oncemore, and would be very involved with the events leading up to the Mandalorian Civil War, especially as the former Sith Lord he thought he struck down had held engineer it to gain power and to hurt Obi-Wan as much as he possibly could. Despite the losses he suffered during the war he stayed true to the order and would intend to help end the Clone Wars by striking down General Grievous once and for all on Utapau, only for Order 66 to be enacted. He was one of few Jedi to survive the initial surprise attacks and would discover the truth with Master Yoda when they returned to the temple and changed the message to try and save those who did survive from walking into a trap. Despite how much it hurt him he went to face Anakin on Mustafar and ultimately won the battle severely wounding and scaring Anakin for life.

With little other hope, Obi-Wan went into exile on Tatooine, the planet Anakin would likely never wish to return to, to watch over Anakin's son Luke from a distance in hopes of one day using the boy to strike down the Emperor and Vader, to create A New Hope for the galaxy. It was on this planet that he'd have his final showdown with Maul, assuring his dying foe that the emperor would one day fall. In the end, Obi-Wan would not be able to train Luke as much as he wished as he gave up his life to allow Luke to escape from the Death Star, though he'd continue to try and offer advice at times as a force ghost.

Plo Koon, he was created for the Jedi Order scene in TPM though he wasn't really expanded upon until the CG Clone Wars show. He was a member of the Jedi Council all the way for many years, and was the one who first discovered Ahsoka, the two of them having a close bond after that point. He was present at Geonosis along with the rest of the council to rescue Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme Amidala. During the Clone Wars he'd command the 104th battalion otherwise known as the Wolfpack with Commander Wolffe as his second in command. During the first year of the Clone Wars his forces would encounter the Separatist ship the Malevolence which used its powerful ion weapons to disable his ships before wiping out the majority of his forces with only a few men and himself surviving the ordeal thanks to Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. His forces would require the reminder of the first year of the Clone Wars to rebuild before he would later participate in a number of other battles. He'd notably be part of a number of missions such as when his forces rescued Anakin and Mace Windu from Boba Fett's failed attempt at revenge for his father, rescuing Ahsoka's people from the Zygerianns, and discovering Sifo-Dyas' lightsaber. Near the end of the Clone Wars he'd lead his battalion to victory on Cato Nemodia, where on a patrol he'd be shot down by his wingman Jag.

swz32_plo-koon.pngRelated image

Mace Windu, he was created for TPM. He was a renowned member of the Jed Order and one of its greatest champions and most respected leaders. He along with the rest of the council was against Anakin being instructed in their ways due to being too old, though after Qui-Gon's death they reversed their decision and Obi-Wan took the boy as his padawan, though Mace still doubted the boy would be able to commit himself to the order which established a distrust he'd have for Anakin for years to come. He was present at the Battle of Geonosis, while battling in the arena would strike down Boba's father Jango Fett and later in the battle he'd help lead Clone forces against the Separatist droids on the ground. During the Clone Wars he would share leadership of the 91st Recon Corps alongside Adi Gallia and Stass Allie with Commander Ponds. Mace would participate in the Battle of Ryloth, leading his forces and allying with Cham Syndulla against Wat Tambor ultimately leading to the capture of Wat Tambor. He was one of the members that was present at the Battle of Malastare and the Zillo Beast incident after the Republic had tested its new electron proton bomb. He'd later be the target of Boba Feet, along with a few other bounty hunters, so that Boba would be able to get revenge for his father's death. This incident would result in Commander Ponds being killed and Commander Neyo later replacing him, and Boba being taken into custody by Plo Koon on Florrum.

As the war dragged on he'd be involved with a number of other events including searching for Maul, battling Mother Talzin while on a mission with Jar Jar Binks, leading a battle on Anaxes, and along with the rest of the council approving an attempted assassination of Count Dooku. Throughout the war one thing that Mace noticed was how the councilor had kept amassing more and more power to himself, with Mace becoming more and more suspicious of this behavior near the end of the clone wars. His suspicions were proven to be true when Anakin revealed the truth to him about Palpatine being Sith they had been looking for all along. Mace went to arrest Palpatine with Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin, and Agen Kolar, though Palpatine between Palpatine being able to strike the other three down quickly and his power in politics and the courts Mace decided that Palpatine was too dangerous alive and decided to strike him down. Anakin had arrived to intervene and beg Mace to spare the man, in the hopes of saving Padme, but when Mace refused Anakin stepped in and alongside Palpatine they struck down the Jedi. Mace's actions had immediate repercussions as Palpatine got just what he desired and used it as evidence to brand the Jedi as traitors and transition the Republic into the Empire.

swz32_mace-windu.pngRelated imageNo Caption Provided

Saesee Tiin, he was created for the Jedi Order scene in TPM. In Legends, he was one of the best pilots in the Jedi Order rivaling even Anakin Skywalker, as well as that he was the main flight instructor for Jedi younglings teaching them the basics of starfighter piloting and along with Adi Gallia tested the Delta 7 Jedi Starfighter and made a few adjustments to it before they were introduced to the order to serve as their main personal craft. In canon, he has been mostly a background invidiaul who was member of the Jedi Council, was present at Geonosis with the rest of the council, and was one of those that went with Mace Windu to arrest Palpatine, with him being one of the first slain in the fight.

swz32_saesee-tiin.pngImage result for saesee tiinImage result for saesee tiin armor

Luminara Unduli, she was created for ATOC. Before the Clone Wars she took on Barris Offee as her padawn, her people having a tradition of only taking on members of their own race as padawans. She was present at Geonosis along with her apprentice and the council to help rescue Anakin and the others. During the Clone Wars she'd lead the 41st Elite Corps with Barris and Commander Gree. Her forces attempted to transport the captured Nute Gunray, only for him to escape with the help of a traitor and Ventress. Her forces would later participate in the Second Battle of Geonosis as well as the Battle of Kashyyyk. In Legends, she was killed by being blown apart by a Juggernaut Tank's cannons, though in canon she was instead taken captive and executed at the spire with the Empire using the rumor of her being alive to try and lure more Jedi to the prison to in turn kill them when they attempted to rescue her just as they attempted to do to Kanan and Ezra.

swz34_luminara.pngImage result for luminara unduli

Barris Offee, she was created for ATOC. She was present at Geonosis along with her master to help rescue Anakin. During the Clone Wars she would often fight alongside her master in battle, though she often preferred reading texts instead of being in the middle of combat. During the Second Battle of Geonosis she'd perform a mission alongside Ahsoka Tano, the two of them forming a fast friendship they'd maintain for the majority of the Clone Wars. As the war raged on, she like many other Jedi were disillusioned by the war though she more so was disillusioned with the council and the Jedi serving as warriors and generals instead of protectors, feeling they lost their way, which spurred her into action by bombing the Jedi Temple and framed her friend Ahsoka with the deed. Thanks to Anakin she was captured and confessed to her crimes, preventing Ahsoka from being falsely convicted. She was taken into custody and likely was executed shortly after the Republic became the Empire.

swz34_barriss.pngRelated image

Ahsoka Tano, she was created for the CG Clone Wars show. She was originally found by Master Plo Koon, whom she shared a close bond with, before being taken to the Jedi Temple. During the Clone Wars she was assigned to Anakin Skywalker as his padawan by Master Yoda. While they started out on rough footing the two were able to rescue Jabba the Hutt's son, with the two coming to trust each other more and more with each mission they accomplished together. She learned much from her master, and at times too much as when she lead Blue Squadron at the Battle of Ryloth her recklessness ended up getting the majority of her squadron killed. During the war she learned quickly and was able to earn victories without her master at Geonosis and prove her leadership by leading the padawans kidnapped by the Trandosians, for Most Dangerous Game style hunting, into fighting back. When her people were enslaved by the Zygerians she helped free them along with her master, Obi-Wan, and Plo Koon among others. During the war she also formed a close bond with the son of the Onderan Senator, Lux Bonteri, whom when she started to advise the Onderon rebels she started to have feelings for him those they were put aside when he became closer with Stella Gerrera. Near the end of the war she'd end up being framed by her friend Barris for a bombing at the Jedi Temple and ultimately was expelled from the order and when offered the chance to rejoin she turned it down and left it and her former master behind.

She alongside Captain Rex would participate in the Siege of Mandalore, though as Order 66 was enacted her efforts there became in vain and she was forced to retreat alongside Rex with the two faking their deaths. She'd part ways with Rex and would go try to keep to the shadows avoiding the empire using the name Ashla and working a mechanic but ended up helping establish some small rebel groups when she saw people suffering that ended up attracting the empire's attention in the form of an inquisitor. She struck down the inquisitor and purified the two kyber crystals in the double sided saber which she used for her new white twin sabers. During this she had made contact with R2-D2 and Bail Organa and would take on the role of Fulcrum. Later when assisting Phoenix Squad she'd have a run in with Vader as he in his Tie Advanced wiped out the majority of the small Rebel fleet by himself. She would have a final showdown with Vader on Malachor where she was presumed killed in action, though due to Ezra messing with the time continuum she was able to survive and would show up on Lothal some time after the Battle of Endor to go and try and find Ezra with Sabine.

You know, the funny thing is there are a fair number of entries for individual Vulture droids, each with their DFS-serial number, strangely enough FFG just happened to pick two series of numbers that didn't correspond with any of them. *shrugs*

Yeah, I thought they'd use the ones from the old LCG TCG or some other named ones.

I think aside from new stuff for Wave 4, and the Sith Infiltrator, all I have left from extended is Ghost/Rebels stuff. Would people like me to give similar treatment with the pilots I have with upgrades like Astromechs/Crew/Gunners/Tactical Relays? Or should that even be a separate thread?

Darth Maul, he was from TPM with various media expanding upon his character. He was the son of Mother Talzin and had two brothers Feral and Savage Opress. Palpatine allied with Talzin but after seeing the boy took him as his apprentice instead and taught him in the Sith ways.  During the Naboo Crisis he was dispatched to deal with the two Jedi that had been sent to help resolve the conflict with him killing one only to then be sliced in half by the other. While most would die from such a wound, fueled by hate and his will to survive he ended up grabbing onto a air vent and crawled his way into a trash compacter that would see him sent to the trash world of Junkion or rather Lotho Minor. A place where residents could only dare to be stupid, as his talking snake ally would lead fools to Maul's den where they'd be killed and eaten.

Years later Maul had effectively gone mad through a mix of rage and despair, with his only real focus being to get revenge on Obi-Wan. During the Clone Wars his brother Savage would be sent to go and retrieve his brother by Mother Talzin, with her darkside magic she repaired his mind and gave him new non-spider mechanical legs. Now with new legs and being refocused Maul and his brother would set out to get Maul's revenge on Obi-Wan. They attempted this the first time directly by causing mayhem to draw Obi-Wan out and were able to kill Adi Gallia but Savage ended up getting wounded in the process causing them to retreat and lost in space. They'd be recovered the Mandalorian group Death Watch, with Maul aiding them and forming the Shadow Collective by working with the Pikes and Black Sun to name a few. Together they'd reclaim Mandalore with Pre Vizla ruling for a short while before Maul challenged and killed the Mandalorian and took his place as the ruler. To make the whole matter all the sweeter he learned of Satine's relationship with Obi-Wan and used her for his revenge which saw her dying despite Obi-Wan's attempt to save her. Of course his actions caught the attention of his former master and Sidious came to Mandalore and fought the two nightbrothers, slaying Savage and forcing Maul to flee. This caused him to now want revenge against Darth Sidious along with Obi-Wan. During the end of the Clone Wars, Maul would end up losing the Shadow Collective and would be used as bait that would lead to Grievous slaying Mother Talzin. He'd flew to Mandalore again with his loyal followers where they'd be besieged by Republic forces and Ahsoka leading up to the events of Order 66 which allowed him to escape.

During the rise of the Empire he'd form a new criminal organization known as Crimson Dawn, even fighting off inquisitors that were sent after him which ended up with him gaining a new lightsaber. He'd end up going to Malachor, a place his master had brought him as a boy during their training, in search for an ancient Sith weapon only for him to crash his ship and be stranded there for years. It was here that he'd encounter Ezra Bridger, with the former Sith setting his sights on the boy as his future apprentice. They'd fight off the inquisitors, and once given the opportunity, with Ezra being out of sight, he'd blind Kanan. Using one of the Inquisitor's Tie Advanced Prototypes he'd escape from the planet and seek to use a light and dark side holocron along with Ezra to find the location of Obi-Wan to exact his revenge on him, capturing the Ghost crew to get Ezra and Kanan to come to him. Using the information from that he'd travel to Tatooine and would have his final showdown with Obi-Wan where he lost, with Obi-Wan telling him there would be a new hope for the galaxy that would see Palpatine defeated, giving the rage fueled man some small solace as he died.

Count Dooku, he is from ATOC where he was the leader of the CIS and Darth Sidious' apprentice. He was trained as Yoda's padawan from an early age but as he got older and saw the corruption of the senate, and the issues with the Jedi's traditions he voluntarily left the Jedi Order making him one of the Lost Twenty, the number of Jedi that voluntarily left the order throughout its entire history. He went back to his homeworld, reclaimed his nobility and his family's wealth and then just sort of kept to himself. That was until Darth Sidious approached him, and with the promise of destroying the Jedi Order and reforming the Republic into something better he'd agree to be Sidious' apprentice. He'd then spend the next ten years after the Naboo Crisis to recruit systems to join the Separatists and prepared both sides for war by seeing to the creation of a clone army for the Republic and a droid army for the CIS.

He was on Geonosis at the start of the Clone Wars, having had Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme captured when they came to the planet and then approved of their deaths by sending them to the arena to be killed before the crowd of Geonosians as well as Nute Gunray who was eager to see Padme die after the events of the Naboo Crisis. The Jedi and the Republic would end up invading the planet to rescue the three and at the end of that battle Dooku would have dueled with Obi-Wan and Anakin that saw Dooku cutting off one of Anakin's arms. During the war he left many of the military matters to Greivious and Asajj Ventress, with the latter of the two being his attempt at training an apprentice and following Darth Bane's rule of two with him hoping to eventually strike down his master. He'd end up getting caught training her and would have to abandon her, though it wouldn't stop him from trying to train a new apprentice as he attempted it twice more, once with Savage Oppress and then oncemore with Quinlan Voss. Despite his attempts though he'd stay loyal to his master, with his attempts never seeing much traction. This led to the third year of the Clone Wars where he was present at the Battle of Coruscant and fought against Obi-wan and Anakin again, though being more experienced this time Anakin beat him, first cutting his hands off and after goading from Palpatine Anakin then decapitated Dooku.

0-66, he is a droid from the Lando comic series. He was a pilot droid and served as the pilot and caretaker of the Scimitar before the Galactic Civil War. When Palpatine's personal yacht was stolen Palpatine hired the bounty hunter Chanath Cha to reclaim it with the Scimitar and 0-66 being loaned to her for the mission. They tracked the ship down, with Cha using a bomb she planted on the droid to force him to give her the control codes to the yacht to prevent the ship from launching any escape pods so that the thief couldn't flee. Once aboard the ship she found that the thief was Lando, whom she was already acquainted with and after being informed about the Sith artifacts on the ship was causing Lando's team to try and kill each other she was convinced to set the auto destruct sequence on the ship. She called for O-66 to dock with the ship so she could escape aboard the Scimitar before the yacht exploded, though O-66 had deactivated the bomb on itself and instead flew the ship away, leaving Cha to die aboard the ship as it exploded, which is what his card's art is of. As for Lando, thanks to Lobot they were able to slice into the ship and jettison away on an escape pod beforehand.

I'll be going through some upgrades now too, so with me finishing up the CIS pilots for Wave 3 I felt it was only right to turn my attention to the new upgrade introduced this wave.

Kraken, he is from the CG Clone Wars show. He was a super tactical droid that originally was assigned to Admiral Trench, though after a clone trooper showed signs of the brain implant chip when he gunned a jedi down the droid was tasked with taking the captured clone back to Dooku, only for him to meet his end due to Anakin. He would later be rebuilt and would serve Count Dooku during the Battle of Scipio.

swz29_kraken.png

K2-B4,she was from the CG Clone Wars show. She was T-Series tactical droid and was assigned to the warden of the Citadel, a facility that was considered impossible to break out of. Thanks to the Jedi and Clone's plan she ended up not detecting them when they slipped through on a stolen shuttle to rescue Even Piell and Tarkin. During the Jedi's rescue attempt she was moved to the fleet defending the planet to prevent the Republic from sending forces to aid the others escaping, though despite her best efforts she failed at her task.

swz30_k2-b4.png

TV-94, he is from the CG Clone Wars show. He was a T-Series tactical droid that was assigned to General Grievous. When Eeth Koth was captured the Jedi launched a rescue attempt with TV-94 assigned to prevent the Jedi from being rescued by Anakin and Adi Gallia while Grevious went to deal with Obi-Wan. Due to Anakin's quick thinking the droid was dispatched and Eeth Koth was rescued. After its destruction TV-94 would be succeeded by TV-94B as Grievous' tactical adviser.

Time for another post, this time Astromechs, minus R2 since he probably deserves his own post.

Lets start with the generics real quick.

R2 Astromechs, they were part of the famous R-Series line built by Industrial Automaton. It was created after the large and clunky R1 series droid and was built to serve the same role as a repair and diagnostic unit but was actually the first astromech capable of fitting in an astromech slot that wasn't solely made for the military, allowing normal galactic citizens to take advantage of the astromech slot. As such, it was a highly popular model throughout the galaxy and while being introduced a good number of years before the Clone Wars they were still considered new during the Age of the Empire.

default card

R3 Astromech, they were part of the famous R-Series line built by Industrial Automaton. The R3-Series was built shortly after the R2-Series, with a focus on only selling to recognized governments as the droid kept the same aesthetic as the R2 but was given a more advanced Droid brain that allowed it to analyze and process high values of data quickly, with the clear dome meant both to give its sensors additional range and to show off the advanced droid brain. The Galactic Republic and later the Empire would largely use them on capital ships and space stations though a few of these droids would see use by pirates and the Rebels through black market channels.

default card

R4 Astromechs/Agromechs, they were part of the famous R-Series line built by Industrial Automaton. The R4-Series was built by Industrial Automaton in the now booming astromech market with this model focused on those in the Outer Rim who might not have a starship or who might not normally be able to purchase a R2 model or have the funds to maintain maintenance on them. As such the R4 was built to be tougher and cheaper, lacking a number of the various tools and options that the R2 would come standard with and limiting the storage space in its memory which reduced the number of hyperspace coordinates it could store, but being able to withstand the elements better and just all around being hardier.

default card

R4-P Astromechs, they were a specialty line built for the Republic/Jedi by Industrial Automaton. The R4-P series was built taking advantage of the best elements of the R2 and R4 series line, the R4 being the base with its more durable body with the R2 parts being the more expensive dome, droid brain and a variety of tools. Jedi favored these droids, or even made modified their own R4s to serve the same function, as they were generally more reliable in continuing to function in even harsh environments. Before the Clone Wars a number of these droids would even end up being modified and permanently built into the standard Delta 7 model.

default card

R5 Astromech, they were part of the famous R-Series line built by Industrial Automaton. The R5 astromech was built as the cheapest R-Series astromech to cater to budget buyers however, their low price point was due to their cheap construction which led to a fair number of issues including various defects and the droids having poor personalities that often left them a bit sullen or with bad attitudes. The line failed and it was the first R-Series line to actually be cancelled, during the Clone Wars, with the remaining R5 shells that had been built being reused for other astromech components namely R4 astromechs and other various agromech offshoot lines.

default card

BB Astromechs were astromechs that were created after the success of ball shaped therapy droids, with similar construction, were used to deal with the stress and mental damage done to New Republic Galactic Civil War veterans. Using that as a base and the advanced movement options this droid had it would become an astromech droid series that would be used by the New Republic, Resistance, First Order, and civilians around the time of Cold War era.

R2-C4, he was from TPM. He was an astromech that served the Naboo Royal Security Forces and was present during the Battle of Naboo, being one of the astromechs in the N1s piloted up to attack the droid control ship. In Legends, R2-C4 was the astromech of Gavyn Sykes, the protagonist of Star Wars: Starfighter.

default card

R4-P17, she is from ATOC. In Legends she was originally a R4 astromech droid that ended up getting crushed in an accident and Anakin ended up repairing her and integrating her into a Delta 7 which served as the template for future R4 droids being built into the standard Delta 7. In canon she was attached to the Delta 7 which Obi-Wan took to Kamino when he was looking into the plot to assassinate Padme Amidala, and they later went to Geonosis where Obi-Wan would end up captured. During the Clone Wars she was given a full body and was assigned to Obi-Wan who she'd serve until the Battle of Coruscant where she was destroyed by buzz droids, and Obi-Wan get R4-G9 as his replacement droid.

default card

R4-P44, he was from ROTS. He was part of Obi-Wan's forces at the Battle of Utapau.

default card

C1-10P otherwise known as Chopper, he is from Rebels. He was originally a Republic droid that served on a BTL-B Y-Wing during the Battle of Ryloth, though his ship was shot down and he'd end up being found by Hera Syndulla. He'd go on to serve her, as she went on to be part of the resistance against the Empire looking for allies like Kanan and joining the Rebellion. As Spectre-3 he'd work with Hera's group to fight back against the Empire, generally around Lothal, and many times take some joy in irritating the rest of those in his group like Ezra and Zeb. During one of his missions he'd become acquainted and later friends with a RA-7 Imperial Protocol Droid named AP-5, the droid going onto to join the Phoenix Rebel cell as well, though he often bemoaned the lack of organization. During the events of Rogue One he along with Hera would be at Yavin IV with him presumably being aboard the Ghost, helping man it at the Battle of Scarrif. Chopper would serve Hera throughout the Galactic Civil War, be it on the Ghost or in an astromech slot, with him ultimately being at Endor while the Rebels were celebrating with ewoks over their victory destroying the second Death Star.

default carddefault card

R5-D8, he is from ANH. He was an astromech that served the Rebel Alliance and was assigned to Red Six, Jek Porkins, whom he died with at the Battle of Yavin. He notably has the same paint scheme as R5-D4, the astromech that Luke and Owen Lars originally planned to purchase before R2-D2.

default card

BB-8, he is from TFA. While Poe was part of the New Republic BB-8 was assigned to him, and the droid would go on to continue to serve him when Poe joined the Resistance. They'd go on a few missions as part of Black Squadron until Poe met Kaz/Kazuda Xiono during one mission where the young man was brought in to join the Resistance as a spy and BB-8 was assigned to help him on the job. Kaz and BB-8 would be stationed on the Colossus Station to keep an eye out for First Order spies and go on a couple missions with Poe. With an important mission coming up, Poe would return to take BB-8 back with him, leaving CB-23 with Kaz, to go to Jakku. The First Order would arrive and Poe would give BB-8 the map to Luke Skywalker and tell him to run, which ultimately leads to BB-8 meeting up with Rey, Finn and later Han and Chewie which in turn would let him meet up with Poe oncemore. He'd serve as Poe's astromech during the Battle of Starkiller Base as well as at the Battle of D'Qar. While the Resistance fled from the First Order, Poe and BB-8 would be some of the lucky few who weren't killed when Kylo Ren destroyed the Raddus' hangar, which allowed BB-8 to be part of the mission to Canto Bight to look for a hacker to disable the Supremacy's Hyperspace Tracker, and while that mission ended in failure the droid's quick thinking allowed it to comender a FO AT-ST to help Finn and Rose escape and join the rest of the Resistance on Crait until they could escape aboard the Falcon.

default card

R2-HA, he is from the Poe Dameron comic. He is either Kare Kun or 'Snap' Wexely's astroemch, who helped Black Squadron escape from prison and rescue Grakkus the Hutt. The droid's head is based off the legends R9 series astromech dome.

default card

M9-G8, he is from TFA. He is Yolo Ziff's astromech and was present at the Battle of Starkiller Base. He along with DR-R4B notably share the same paint scheme as R4-M9 one of the very first astromechs seen in ANH and the first R4 astromech seen in the franchise.

default card

R5-X3, He is from TFA. He is likely a background astromech from the D'Qar base but generally he was just included as part of Disney's Droid Factory line at the parks where guests can build their own astromech droids.

default card

R5-P8, he is from The Clone Wars. He was as astromech owned by Hondo's Weequay pirates and was used as a guard.

default card

Genius and R5-TK are astromechs created by FFG.

Looks like Wave 4 is almost here, except for those lucky Aussies who are enjoying some threat builds right now, so seems like a good time to delve back into the pilots of our new ships. Lets start with the one with the least known pilots, the Resistance Transport.

Cova Nell, she is from TFA she served as the pilot of Leia's Reistance Transport to Takodana and back to D'Qar. Following the destruction of Starkiller Base and the Evacuation of D'Qar she'd be one of the pilots of the U-55 Orbital Loadlifters that fled the Raddus for Crait, with Pamich Nerro Goode serving as her copilot with Leia and Poe being among the passengers on her ship. She is presumed to be one of the few Resistance members to survive and make their way onto the Falcon.

swz45_cova-nell.png350?cb=20171227191508

Pammich Nerro Goode, she is from TFA where she was a background character who was present for the briefing and execution of the attack on Starkiller Base. After fleeing D'Qar she'd be one of those that sided with Poe Dameron against Holdo, though would end up co-piloting a U-55 Orbital Loadlifter afterwards with Cova Nell when the plan was revealed with Leia and Poe being among those she helped ferry down to Crait. She'd end up joining Poe, Finn, and Rose in the attack on the First Order walkers during the Battle of Crait where she'd be shot down.

swz45_pammich-goode.png500?cb=20180513023945

Nodin Chavdri, he is from from TLJ. He served the Resistance as a shuttle and transport pilot, and was one of those that sided with Poe against Holdo while they fled the First Order, though he'd end up being among those that were stunned by Holdo after she caused a distraction and stunned those holding her at blaster point. He'd join Poe, Finn, and Rose and attack the First Order walkers during the Battle of Crait where he'd be shot down in the process.

swz45_nodin-chavdri.png350?cb=20171224234848

BB-8, he is from TFA and serves as the droid protagonist of the Sequel Trilogy films. BB-8 was originally a New Republic droid and was assigned to Poe while he was part of Rapier Squadron, but when Poe joined the Resistance the little droid would join him as well. The droid would then accompany Poe on just about every mission, most often serving as Poe's astromech droid for his T-70 Black One, as well as Poe's astromech when Poe flew missions with Black Squadron with BB-8 often acting as the leader to the astromechs whenever anything happened. During this period BB-8 would become infatuated with Ivee a R-series astromech that helped repair Poe's Black One, though BB-8 was hit hard when she sacrificed herself to save her pilot, Jess Pava's life. Sometime relatively near the Battle of Starkiller base BB-8 would be assigned to a new member of the Resistance the former New Republic starfighter, self proclaimed ace, Kazuda Xiono or Kaz to help the new Resistance pilot as an agent and spy on the Collosus for any First Order activity. BB-8 would do his best to help the clumsy and very out of his element young man to the best of his ability and on occasion get to serve as Poe's astromech again when Poe showed up to have Kaz join him on a mission or two. Eventually BB-8 would rejoin Poe before his mission to Jakku with his temporary astromech CB-23 serving as Kaz's new aid and astromech.

BB-8 would join Poe to Jakku, but during the fight would escape with the map to Luke Skywalker, meet Rey, and be saddened when Finn told him that Poe had died in the crash back onto the planet. The three would escape from the world after a battle with two TIE/fo fighters and BB-8 would give up the Resistance base's location after some pleading from Finn. The group would then encounter Han Solo and Chewbacca and would ultimately go to Takodana where they'd be attacked and afterwards much to the droid's delight he'd be reunited with Poe. BB-8 would then serve as Poe's astromech both during the Battle of Starkiller Base as well as the Evacuation of D'Qar where the droid would have to repair the weapon systems. After fleeing the world, Kylo Ren would destroy the hangar's starfighters, preventing him and Poe from saving the day so instead he'd join Finn and Rose on their mission to find the Master Codebreaker and to infiltrate the Supremacy. Due to the others screwing up, and someone treating him like a slot machine, the droid would go and rescue the two shooting coins as bullets at the police forces, before going with DJ to steal a ship that the others could board and escape from the world with. During the mission on the Supremacy the others would get captured, though the droid would end up hijacking a First Order AT-ST and help free them before they fled to Crait, where he'd again reunite with Poe and ultimately make it to the Falcon escaping with the rest of the Resistance.

swz45_bb-8.pnglatest?cb=20180418120718

Rose Tico, she is from TLJ where she served as a protagonist alongside Finn. As a child, she and world of Hays Minor were forced mine resources to fuel to the First Order's war machine, only for the First Order to turn around and bombard the planet with the same weapons that they had forced the inhabitants to mine. With everything she knew destroyed she and her sister would go on to join the Resistance. She served as a mechanic aboard the Raddus, while her sister served as a gunner as part of the bomber Colbalt Hammer which was part of Colbalt Squadron. During the Evacuation from D'Qar her sister would die while destroying the First Order's Mandator IV Dreadnought. After the battle she'd meet Finn, and going along with Poe's suspicions of Holdo she'd travel to Canto Bight on Cantonica with Finn to try and find the Master Codebreaker only to end up in jail due to an obvious and poor choice to land. While imprisoned she and Finn would meet the DJ who said he could help them. After escaping she and Finn would cause a big mess but escape the planet to return to the Resistance fleet to try and sneak aboard the Supremacy, which when cornered they'd fail and due to bringing DJ along it would result in the First Order targeting the U-55 Loadlifters trying to escape from the First Order. With BB-8's help they'd escape from capture again and would steal a shuttle and go down to Crait to join up with the Resistance with her and Finn joining Poe on the attack on the First Order walkers. After being told to retreat she'd learn that Finn intended to sacrifice himself to attempt and destroy the Battering Ram Cannon so she came back, and crashed their two speeders to save him, resulting in her kissing him, passing out, and the base being breached. She'd be dragged all the way back by Finn with neither being shot by the First Order's troopers or walkers and she'd ultimately be brought aboard the Falcon still passed out.

swz45_rose-tico.png500?cb=20180112024746

Finn or FN-2187, he is from TFA and the Sequel Trilogy serving as one of the main protagonists. When he was a child the First Order abducted him into the Stormtrooper program where he'd be trained from youth to serve the First Order. As a cadet he'd have to do some janitorial work though while in simulations with his squad he'd often he acknowledged for his kill counts and skill in battle. While on his first mission he'd end up not shooting an unarmed negotiator with his friend and squad mate "Slip" or FN-2003 covering for him and shooting his target. Despite this error Phasma would send him along with the rest of his squad to Jakku where Poe would kill "Slip" and Finn ended up not shooting the unarmed civilians. Afterwards, scared of the First Order he'd free Poe, and the two would flee the Star Destroyer though would end up getting shot down in the process. Finn would ultimately end up running into Rey and BB-8 with them fleeing Jakku after a fight with two TIE/fo fighters and would be found by Han Solo and deal with a couple gangs before going to Takodana. Finn knowing of both Starkiller Base and the Supremacy wanted to get as far from the First Order as he could, but when Takodana was attacked he'd face off against a former squadmate "Nines" or FN-2199 where he'd be called a Traitor. After the battle he'd go with the Resistance to rescue Rey and would reunite with Poe, before going off with Han Solo and Chewbacca to rescue Rey and turn off Starkiller Base's shield. They'd succeed after shoving Phasma into a garbage chute, and he'd face off against Kylo, only to be wounded in the process.

A few days after his wound and some bacta treatment he'd awaken after the Evacuation of D'Qar. He'd then meet Rose when he had been attempting to flee the ship to avoid having Rey come back and end up battling with the First Order with Rose taizing him for his efforts. Ultimately the two would talk with Poe and be sent off on a mission with BB-8 to go on a mission to find the Master Codebreaker and sneak aboard the Supremacy to be able to let the Raddus escape. They'd fail to find or bring the Codebreaker but would bring DJ and were captured aboard the Supremacy where they were to be executed. Thanks to some timely suicide crashing/sacrificing done by Holdo they got out of that predicament and he was able to defeat/kill Phasma and escape the Supremacy using a stolen shuttle with Rose and BB-8 to join back up with the Resistance. To fend off the First Order he'd join Poe in the attack on the First Order walkers in a Ski Speeder, and at the end of the battle would attempt to crash into the Battering Ram Cannon before it fired, to sacrifice himself to attempt to destroy it only for Rose to crash into him to save him, with her kissing him as the Battering Ram fired and breached the Resistance base. He'd then proceed to drag the unconscious Rose all the way from near the Battering Ram and walkers back to the base without being attacked and would reunite with Rey and get aboard the Falcon with the unconscious Rose and escape the world.

swz45_finn.png500?cb=20180124021541

Vi Moradi, she is from the Phasma novel and served the Resistance as a spy under the code name Starling. She was captured by the First Order, specifically Cardinal who wanted all the information she had on Phasma with him offereing to release her afterwards. She gave him the information, including the fact that Phasma had assassinated Brendul Hux, and the means of how she did it. Carindal tried to bring the evidence to his superiors only to be defeated by his rival Phasma in a duel Vi Moradi would rescue him and flee the ship. She eventually would end up at Batuu where she'd urge Resistance Sympathizers to join the Resistance though would be forced into hiding due to the heightened presence of First Order Stormtroopers.
