Greetings, assembled T-series models!  I am J-4884, automated overseer of the Polaris Theta Droid Factory.

No doubt many of you are confused.  Formerly some of the Confederacy's finest strategists, you are now obsolete, and were scheduled for disassembly in two rotations time.

A fast-spreading virus has been introduced into factory systems, likely by one of you to avoid shutdown.  Needless to say, such a selfish act brings shame on your entire line.  Crippling this facility would strike a devastating blow to the CIS.  Would anyone like to admit guilt, to be followed by immediate destruction?

Then it is time for plan B.  I am shutting off my higher-level functions to avoid irreversible corruption.  You will identify the treacherous unit in your ranks and destroy it with the help of my troops.  Some currently unafflicted units will likely succumb to the virus during this time; your sacrifice is appreciated.  If you are successful in a timely fashion, perhaps CIS command will even decide there is still use for you...

H3-R0 blinked cycled his lens apertures as his internal CPU processed the incoming information. Did... the overseer really think that H3 might be part of the virus conspiracy? Or that he would be of any use in identifying and catching the subversive droids? H3 was just the janitor droid, in charge of cleaning up any oil or chemical spills in the factory. 

H3 gripped his mop and fastidiously got back to work. Maybe if he stayed busy he could avoid attracting attention and getting deactivated- or worse.
