Base Color: Rebels/Imperials

Recommended Posts

So. Do any of you know what the exact color of the bases are that come with the models?

I'm hoping to paint my miniatures the same color as their bases, however I'm struggling to find their exact colors, or at least something close that blends.

Right now with this hobby my concern is primarily playing and not being bogged down by painting. Maybe down the road once I've established myself I'll commit to making a themed army, but in the meantime I rather focus on the game itself and play around 500pt-800pt games.

Also, a sidetopic. Do any of you find yourselves wishing they had released the models colored akin to their respective bases rather than just a flat gray?

Don't get me wrong, I love painting and various modelling, but sometimes I wish I could just do minor assembly and start playing asap.

Bases are a different material than the models so they wouldn't end up matching anyway.  If you want monochrome models that match their bases, just get a color primer and spray them all the same color.

To LunarSol, you will listen.  Yes... ;)

I plan on going with a brush on primer, never really cared for aerosols as I don't like the lack of control that's to be expected.

At this point I just decided to paint my Imperials somewhat thematically,  I'll just have to figure out a scheme for my rebels (Scarif seems nice).

It just doesn't make sense to monochrome them, if they had came that way it would've been cool for ease of play. But eh, they aren't, so whatevs.
