Gengis Jon 222 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Yes, great game Clon! Obviously, town got a little lucky, but the only thing I’m wondering about is a beefier scum contingent. The more veteran players would know where scum generally gets too OP. But would maybe one more scum be too much? Loved the special events and the deeper roles for everyone. All great stuff! Thanks for putting it together! Edited October 3, 2018 by Gengis Jon 1 clontroper5 reacted to this

I ended up with 5 scum, gnips, vis, ebon, ovi, and LTD... And I do think the town was just really lucky night 1 which caused a domino effect. I think a couple of things would help: 1. More classes in general. This would add more confusion and uncertainties. I especially like the idea of disguises.. 2. Buff the scum abilities, making each individual Scum more powerful. Overall I think the game achieved what I wanted! 2 1 Matt3412, Gengis Jon and GhostofNobodyInParticular reacted to this
PodRacer 1,077 Posted October 3, 2018 Yep Gg everyone, thanks clontroper5 for the setup. That has to go down as one of the most coherent towns in Mafia history! Well done everyone who voted @EbonHawk on day one ? 4 Gengis Jon, Matt3412, clontroper5 and 1 other reacted to this

Gengis Jon 222 Posted October 3, 2018 Curious how others might have played my situation after N1. I felt good about protecting LP with his own medkit once I found he was the doc (too valuable a role not to protect, right?) but I was torn on whether or not to reveal myself. 1 Lord Preyer reacted to this
Matt3412 486 Posted October 3, 2018 It helped us prove another town which helped us narrow down the field rather quickly
ovinomanc3r 4,436 Posted October 3, 2018 It was fun. I still think every town being soft-cop would have made this really uphill even don't lynching scum since the beginning. But the event stuff was fun.
clontroper5 4,232 Posted October 3, 2018 Night one was crazy. Caldias investigated LP, LP saved himself, Pod blocked LP so he couldn't save himself The scum Attacked LP, Gengis then stole the medic From LP, then protected him. And LTD decided to skip killing that night 1 2 Matt3412, Lord Preyer and Gengis Jon reacted to this

There were 1 cop, 1 doc, 1 vig, 1 PG, 1 force sensitive, 1 role blocker 1 coward and 1 cleptomaniac. 2 killing roles, 2 investigative roles, 3 protective roles (someway or another) 1 jack of all trades and 1 troller. vs 2 investigative scum role (one of them cannot provide info to his mates) and 2 troller. Don't get me wrong. I loved this game. It was really fun. But IMHO some balance should be revised (this time town played really well anyways). I really liked the idea of soft abilities, just if it happens the info is "you saw some medpacks and a bacta tank"... Well that's a cop lol. Sadly I don't have better ideas and don't want to sound destructive.? 1 clontroper5 reacted to this

Which is expected because this game was EXTREMELY experimental by mafia standards. And that's what Feedback is for I'm thinking more overlap of abilities would help make soft abilities better
LTD 2,241 Posted October 3, 2018 Up rode the squatter, mounted on his thoroughbred, Up rode the troopers, one, two, three, Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag? You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me. Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag? You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, you scoundrel with me. Up jumped the swagman and sprang into the billabong, You'll never catch me alive, said he, And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong, you'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me. 2 clontroper5 and Lord Preyer reacted to this

That made me want to stick to a low profile from thereon in and just try to anticipate the attacks and throw the saves the right way. That first night was crazy. Clon sent me some brilliant and funny messages as it was unfolding. When I emerged and people started playing ‘protect the doc’ versus ‘who is the Doc’ I started laughing out loud. @Gengis Jon AMAZING play on the first night (and superb deductions thereafter). You did some ace deducing too. I loved that you investigated me N1 - I had a feeling you might after our last game in hopes you could nail me as Scum this time! @Caldias thank you for making all the right calls at all the right times. Textbook play. @Matt3412 I loved the drama of your showdown! Cinematic scumhunting! @clontroper5 this was a terrific game. I loved the flavour and the special event with the split groups was awesomely cool. Thank you! So much thought and game crafting must have gone into this. It’s crazy how you aren’t a total veteran and yet doing this right off the bat. Bravo and thank you!! EVERYONE: thank you for being great RPGers with the flavour (and for mixing it with substance so well too). Made the game so Star Wars-y and also I think quite unacrimonious. Also - FLAWLESS Town play!! Huzzah! CMO Preyer (RIP). 3 1 clontroper5, Matt3412, Gengis Jon and 1 other reacted to this

PodRacer 1,077 Posted October 3, 2018 Cos from my POV the only player I blocked that prevented a kill was LP, given that you never killed on N1 1 LTD reacted to this
LTD 2,241 Posted October 3, 2018 It was a long shot bluff. If I hadn’t killed the last night Caldias still would have id’d me. I was too effective at training scum to have a chance as a serial killer. Sad really. PodRacer 1,077 Posted October 4, 2018 No I was never 100% on you! I said as much in the split thread but cal and gengis tactically changed subject! Town carried me here, I had a few good reads, but If you told me I would only make L-2 on a scum!Ebon wagon I would have laughed! I guess scum were 'stirring' at that point (right GNIP!)
