Nuada_Obliage 0 Posted April 4, 2010 I was wondering do you think that including some weapons or gear from Rogue trader into a Dark Hersey ame would be too unbalanced?
Gregorius21778 249 Posted April 4, 2010 Why not? They aren´t worse then what DotDG and RH are dangling in front of a players eye. The only "problem" is to come up with a suitable price... but then again, I think if some-one is able to lay hand on such items, he might be able to afford them OR they are "provided" to him. ZillaPrime 3 Posted April 5, 2010 I use the RT gear in my DH game. Granted, I don't toss them around near rank 1 characters. Since the characters in my game are rank 6-8 and getting close to Ascention there is no issue with it. Starting RT characters are around 5000 XP so if your DH game is past that mark then there really shouldn't be much of a balance issue.
Calaron 0 Posted August 5, 2010 I as a DM, use Rogue Trader as a expansion for Dark Heresy... not as a seperate game system... and since most of our party is at that important 5k exp area, it makes things pretty easy. Our campaign is a Imp. Guard campaign, Using the Caiphus Cain novels as a Backdrop... Jurgen is a Awesome NPC. so for saving insanity points for the DM , build a starship that the unit goes to different worlds in and give it a Munitorium.. if you don't want them to have that perfect set of Power Armour.. say it isn't in there and have them move on. H.B.M.C. 191 Posted August 5, 2010 We've been using RT Hellguns/pistols, Storm Bolters and Heavy Stubbers for a while.Haven't had any issue with them (beyond Storm Bolters being VERY dangerous).BYE
Dalnor Surloc 1 Posted August 9, 2010 The RT armory and Ascension are pretty close in terms of power. I'd handle it by simply x2-x4 the price of a similar DH item, and using highest of the rarity in RT or one rank higher in DH. Certainly most RT weapons are out of the reach of the average starting DH, but once they get access to Inquisitorial armories they should be readily avaible unless the DH are under cover as people of low social rank and wealth..... Serimus Bodikan 0 Posted August 10, 2010 Honestly I had had to figure out rules for a Digi-weapon before they'd been released. So fortunately once the RT book came out, it made things a lot easier for me to handle. Particularly as one of my group's characters (who after this next campaign is leaving to become a full Inq. and NPC). Is the son of one of the higher Noble Families of Necromunda, and is for all practical purposes a Rogue Trader as well. 'Course it did take a little work figuring things out, but as I said. With him soon becomming a NPC, it'll make things a mite easier to handle in the long run with RT weapons.
