My Admiral Ozzel Gladiator List

What do you think?

Obviously the plan is to hit then run away, or approach cautiously and hit in the later turns, whilst the decimators harass for those last hit points if an enemy ship survives.

Consider moving Kallus to the Raider and switching ExRacks for Flechettes. Give Demo APTs or ACMs. Engine Techs help the Gladiators a ton as well. You may want to go with a single Gladiator and two Raiders, I don’t know. Here’s a list I’ve been practicing with a little.  I’ve got Screed so Kallus and Flechettes on the Demo is extremely potent as I can lock down Wedge or whoever guaranteed. It’s very similar to yours:

Assault Objective: Most Wanted
Defense Objective: Fighter Ambush
Navigation Objective: Solar Corona

Gladiator II-Class Star Destroyer (62 points)
-  Demolisher  ( 10  points)
-  Agent Kallus  ( 3  points)
-  Ordnance Experts  ( 4  points)
-  Engine Techs  ( 8  points)
-  Flechette Torpedoes  ( 3  points)
90 total ship cost

[ flagship ] Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
-  Admiral Screed  ( 26  points)
-  Insidious  ( 3  points)
-  Admiral Montferrat  ( 5  points)
-  Ordnance Experts  ( 4  points)
-  Engine Techs  ( 8  points)
-  Assault Proton Torpedoes  ( 5  points)
107 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
-  Suppressor  ( 4  points)
-  Slicer Tools  ( 7  points)
34 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
-  Hondo Ohnaka  ( 2  points)
25 total ship cost

1 Colonel Jendon ( 20 points)
1 Dengar ( 20 points)
1 IG-88 ( 21 points)
2 VT-49 Decimators ( 44 points)
1 Morna Kee ( 27 points)
132 total squadron cost

I’m not saying this is better necessarily, but here are some thoughts. Your Decimators are going to really struggle against Aces, especially the most common sort: Ciena, Shara, and Tycho. You’ve got Dengar, which is good,  but he’ll be knocked out after a turn or two. The IG88/Jendon combo does very well against those sorts of Aces and your other squadrons can hopefully get started early on the ships.

Small ship lists with 4 activations really struggle with positioning against lists that have more activations. Strategic Advisor is so very annoying. If you play any games with your list, I’d be very interested to know how it goes down.

I'd swap APT onto Demolished for sure. 4 activations is considered low for MSU, so I'd be tempted to turn Insidious into two more raiders at least. @Snipafist is more of an msu expert than me though.

Agreed, the OP is not working with nearly enough activations for a fleet like this. It's got 3 non-flotilla ships keeping it on the table and those are 2 Glads and 1 Raider, which is fairly flimsy. A 30 point bid is crazy big and the squad component isn't great either. Against no-squads it'll do okay but against squad cover it'll get stuck pretty quickly. I also don't understand why the flotilla has so many expensive upgrades when it only has one non-Rogue to command.

It's obviously a meta thing, but everyone around here bids a good 26 pts to get first player. I guess that technically means I can go 27 and not 30 I suppose.

In addition, pods of Decimators are proving second to none in the squadron phase around here.

There is a few ways to play around with the list, I agree 5 activations feels like the entry point for an MSU list. I think I can get a Glad, 2x Arquitens, a Raider and a Gozanti into the list.
