Cboerger 87 Posted July 15, 2018 We just played through our very first scenario , The Gathering. What isn’t clear to me is what things carry over into the next scenario. Do assets in play like guns, bats or knives? Do clues earned, or damage/horror taken? Are discarded cards from your player deck shuffed back into your deck or do they remain discarded? Raahk 184 Posted July 15, 2018 (edited) None of the things you mentioned are carried over. After a scenario has ended, you remove every damage, clues and ressources from your investigator card. Then you shuffle all cards belonging to your deck (wherever they are) into your deck. Acquired story assets are also shuffled into the owners deck (e.g. Lita Chantler). The only cards that are not shuffled back are cards that are "exiled". If any Investigator was defeated by taking too much damage or horror, he will suffer a trauma(which is basically the amount of damage/horror you start every game with from now on). Eeyogre 25 Posted July 15, 2018 No assets in play, no clues, no damage/horror are carried over. Reshuffle your player deck including the discard pile, your hand, and any assets you own (you do not own Lita unless the Resolution of the scenario says you do, even if you took control of her in this scenario). If you suffered trauma, then you will start with damage or horror at the beginning of Midnight Masks. Aaron 1 Cboerger reacted to this
Raahk 184 Posted July 15, 2018 Just now, Eeyogre said: (you do not own Lita unless the Resolution of the scenario says you do, even if you took control of her in this scenario) Yes. Very important to note 1 Cboerger reacted to this
Assussanni 528 Posted July 15, 2018 Basically nothing carries over into the next scenario, you start again from scratch. At the end of the scenario you have just finished count up how much experience you earned. You can use this to replace cards in your deck with higher level cards. Also note how much trauma each investigator has, that will determine how much damage/horror they start the next scenario with. Other than that, follow the setup instructions for the next scenario with nothing already in play. I hope that helps, see page 5 of the Rules Reference (“Campaign Play”) for more detail. 1 Cboerger reacted to this
Kafitrar 14 Posted July 28, 2018 Cards with the Permanent trait, e.g. the asset card Higher Education or the basic weakness card Indebted, start in play (Rules Reference p. 16).
Turtlefan2082 112 Posted July 30, 2018 The three things, other than player decks, that is carried over are story assestd/weaknesses earned, experience earned, and trauma received. Clues are and resources earned throughout are not carried over. Unless otherwise stated in the set up instructions, resolutions, acts /agendas progressions, enemies do not carry over.
