VAYASAN 841 Posted June 20, 2018 In the first Twin Shadows mission(Hunted Down) there is an attribute test for a locked safe and its an 'eye 3' to open. What does the 3 actually mean? Not played in a while and can only remember attribute tests with a symbol on them from before? Also, does Han in the mission(elite) pass it automatically....Page 5 of Twin shadows says rebel figures (elite) automatically receive 1 success. Im wonderin if the test needs to be passed 3 times or something but would love confirmation. Thanks
a1bert 3,985 Posted June 20, 2018 You need 3 successes total from any number of interacts. Elite allies gain 1 success. All attribute tests have the symbol (or they wouldn't be attribute tests), a lot of them have a number of the required successes. See RRG, Attribute Tests. neosmagus 600 Posted June 21, 2018 Each surge result will is a success, so you need to roll 3 surges. Han will only get one success so he will fail the test. However if it is a test you can attempt again, ie a locked safe, the successes stay. You can place a token on the object, and in a future attempt trade the tokens for additional successes. So if Han attempted it 3 times, the third time would be a success. Or if another character attempted it and got 2 successes and then Han attempted it, he would succeed on his first try as he would add the third success. ricope 343 Posted June 21, 2018 To add to it: you can mark each success with tokens but mission rules might also take away those token/successes, it matters for missions with rules like "Apply -1 <surge> if the terminal is adjacent to an Imperial figure" in those cases it's actually possible to decrease the success with each attempt 2 Majushi and a1bert reacted to this
pheylorn 18 Posted June 27, 2018 I thought Ally's couldn't voluntarily make Attribute tests, only react to them. So Han wouldn't be able to pick the lock, am I wrong?
a1bert 3,985 Posted June 27, 2018 (edited) Depends on the mission rule - attribute tests are often in conjunction with interacts, so if an interact requires a rebel figure, an ally can perform the interact. (Hunted Down uses "rebel figure".) Companions cannot interact. Edited June 27, 2018 by a1bert
