That sound really cool I can get some in progress pictures, but it's going to take me till next week to get some imperial flags printed (on paper, then thinned wood glue to make them more rigid to be able to position them in a nice way like I did for this soviet flag a long time ago: I think 2 banners on either side slightly twisting in the wind would be the way to go, though a giant banner behind the statue sounds very imperial as well, but not so much if there is no wall behind it. groggydog 141 Posted November 13, 2018 I'm back from an involuntary bed bug and wisdom teeth induced hiatus, and I'm bringing more than just a nice visual update to my site. Today, I've got perhaps my cheapest and easiest basing tutorial yet: a snowy Hoth scene using snow made from white school glue and some baking soda, perfect for E-Webs and Laser Cannons. Hope you enjoy! https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2018/11/13/how-to-create-a-snowy-hoth-base/

Only one post this week, but it's a double feature: using Agrellan Earth to make Mustafar Lava and Ilum Ice bases for your minis. Hope you enjoy! And if you use this technique, please do ping me on here. https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2018/06/16/how-to-create-mustafar-lava-flow-and-ilum-ice-floe-bases/ Hey, I just came across this! I've been doing Mustafar bases for my Imperial Troops and have doing pretty much the exact same thing! I think they look really sharp when finished. I have really liked throwing in a little extra texture/rocks on the bases as well to give them a bit more character and it's gone over really well. 1 groggydog reacted to this

groggydog 141 Posted November 20, 2018 The Legion community has been absolutely ABUZZ recently talking about the newest, hottest topic: how to accurately measure range in Legion! Wait, no. That's not it. Still, do you know the difference between measuring range for an attack and measuring range for...well, anything else? groggydog 141 Posted November 21, 2018 Sometimes you post an article in the middle of an information drought, and sometimes you post an article mere hours before a major rules reference update. Oh well! To recover my ego, I've put out an article summarizing some of the biggest/most important updates we saw yesterday so that you don't have to spend time pouring over every detail. Hope you enjoy! https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2018/11/21/rrg_update_112018/

groggydog 141 Posted March 26, 2019 We're a year into Legion now, and that year has seen a lot of very interesting developments to the meta. So if you're a new player looking to hop in or a lapsed player looking to make your grand return, let's take a look at where we've been, where we are, and where we're going - one year in! https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2019/03/26/imperial-101-established-meta-armies-spring-2019/
groggydog 141 Posted April 9, 2019 If Invader League Season 3 has taught us anything, it's that double bounty hunters are going to be a force unto themselves. But do you know what happens when you've got two bounty tokens to place and only one enemy Commander/Operative to place them on? The answer to that and more inside! https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2019/04/09/not-how-the-force-works-bounties/
groggydog 141 Posted April 23, 2019 A month ago I asked for your most-wanted basing tutorials. When the Death Star was up at the top, I was confused - wouldn't you just do a glossy black surface? But after some thought, I've handcrafted a printable template for a really unique Death Star look for your minis! groggydog 141 Posted May 7, 2019 This week I've got a somewhat atypical post in which I bare my soul a bit and talk about how I went 0-5 in Invader League season 3 with a stubbornly off-meta list, and what I learned about failure and the meta along the way. https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2019/05/07/dispatches-from-the-dog-walker/ 2 Triangular and Savate reacted to this
groggydog 141 Posted May 8, 2019 As promised, the thrilling conclusion of my 0-5 Invader League run! Inside I talk a bit about my last two games, as well as a whole host of things I learned about the meta and my own playstyle along the way. I put a lot of heart into this one, so I do hope that you enjoy. Thanks for all the kind messages yesterday, too - I really do appreciate them all. https://imperialdiscipline.blog/2019/05/08/dispatches-from-the-dog-walker-part-2/ 1 1 Triangular and Savate reacted to this
ScottGilbert25 92 Posted May 13, 2019 Great article! I had the same reservations about the E-Webs. Then I played them (always 2) in my lists numerous times and started to really like them. They are tough to learn but rewarding once you get the hang of them.
Alpha17 2,853 Posted May 13, 2019 E-Webs aren't what they should be (I rant almost daily that they should have been range 4) but they aren't unplayable. I've got at least one and probably two in most lists I play, and my E-Webs usually end up putting in work. My list at a RPQ this weekend included two, and only during one game did one of them not have an impact. (the other did great) 1 ScottGilbert25 reacted to this
groggydog 141 Posted May 21, 2019 New rules explainer up! If you're unfamiliar with Tanks and Landspeeders, this whole article is chock full of information for you. If you're a bit more experienced, you might want to scroll down to the two fringe case explainers: the double-reverse Palp bomb conundrum, and what happens when your bounty target dies in a vehicle.
