Or

Tarn/Hobbie.  First, X-Wings are cool.  Second, Tarn sorta serves as a bait/tank piece.  Corran gets free rerolls on both attacks (which AdvS Corran doesn't normally get) unless you attack Tarn, who starts to mess with your dice and dies slower than he ought.  Meanwhile, Hobbie's got those amazing red moves, which are even better with the Tallon Rolls and not just a K-Turn.

I Think Corran needs something to tank him through the offensive stuff people bring. Either Fenn or low.. maybe both?

Taking 4x TLT from the ghost while you cannot modify any of YOUR shots is rough as heĺl.  .. So the ghost will probably rip you apart without some sort of extra defence for Corran

Extra agility and focus from the u wing while hiding behind it might be decent ?

Or m9 making it reroll one each time?

TARN AND HOBBIE, TARN AND HOBBIE, TARN AND HOBBIE.

But in all seriousness...

Tarn and Hobbie. Both of them are wildly effective beasts, Tarn defensively (while still being decent offensively) and Hobbie offensively. They pair well with Corran as they can fly together while he flanks, and they are too potent to ignore, especially because Tarn can boost Corran if he isn't taking heat.

As for the others - I basically think the targeting priority is the issue. Corran is too much better than the others to not kill first, and, with the p o s s i b l e exception of TLT Ys, they can't push the damage fast enough and simultaneously stay alive. The U and Auzi can be outmaneuvered too easily, and take damage fast, the As are useless after the missiles are gone, and the Y's can melt to focus fire.

You'll be utterly destroyed by Ghost/Fenn. Corran is a very obvious first target, and there's no engagement angle where the Ghost doesn't get its shots. So your wingmen really need to be able to dish out the pain early. Crack+Deadeye A-wings are a good option there, but they're just so bad in other scenarios.

So I'd recommend Ezra with Snap, R3-A2 and Hera as the first escort, and probably a TLT Y as the second, just for damage output. It's not pretty or synergistic, but it's the best chance you have against ghost/fenn using Corran.

Expertise is invaluable when throwing lots of dice so I'd really want an elite slot on my Outrider. The consistently high damage output of Leebo is hard to ignore:

(49) E-Wing: •Corran Horn (35)
        Engine Upgrade (4)
        Push the Limit (3)
        Advanced Sensors (3)
        •R2-D2 (4)

(51) YT-2400 Freighter: •"Leebo" (34)
        Smuggling Compartment (0)
        •Outrider (5)
        Expertise (4)
        Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
        Intelligence Agent (1)

Total:  100/100

Alternatively: Inspiring recruit gives either of them a measure of stress resistance with that creeping back in to the meta.

Or trade Corran's Adv.Sen for FCS so Leebo can pick up Rey for the crew which improves defense/mobility.

Similarly, Chewie with the defensive upgrades is hard to ignore because he gets really hard to take down if you leave him for least with all that damage mitigation. Same comments on crew options.
