Announcement also up in the FFG Spain web. While it’s the same, they normally use another layout for the cards, so we can see a (very) little more of Alibi Artist.

First, he has the Shinobi trait, which I think it’s gonna be one of the defining traits of this pack.

In English we can see:

[...]or - look at the 

[...]put 1 of those

[...]r on the bottom.

Spanish:

[...]menos - mira las (fewer - look at)

[...]Conflicto. Pon (Conflict. Put)

[...]otra en la parte (the other one in the part) 

So I think his ability will be:

Action: while you have 6 or fewer honor - Look at the top 2 cards (of your/your opponent’s) conflict deck . Put 1 of those in the top of the conflict deck, and the other on the bottom .

(I’m inclined to think it’ll be your opponent’s conflict deck.)Edit: actually, no. The wording in Spanish would be “del mazo de conflicto de tu oponente”, while looking at yours will be “de tu mazo de conflicto”, which aligns with the spoiled text.

We know that the Elemental Cycle is the first opportunity the Devs had to adjust based on the meta.  I don't expect the scorpion selection to make them worse, but I'm not expect much more than that.  From what I've read, it appears the clan pack will be offering Scorpion a second playstyle.  And it will be after the new cycle, and hopefully after Worlds (although that's not certain).  This is more acceptable to me.

I Also think that giving option to make more interesting Scorpion decks by using new stronhold, compared the ”all the same” situation now... this is the best possible clan to get clan pack! If even 30% of Scorpion player change their deck type because of this release. It makes this game more fun!

Not sure about that new Duty card... It seems to require some more info how it should work. Chancel that effect. Does it mean that it chancel the effect of drawing cards in honor bidding phase? Or something else, like some people Are thinking that it prevents holor loss to opponent in the same phase. The most balance aproach would be that in chancel both effects. You don`t draw cards and you don`t transfer honor... any idea about how this card should work?

The honor bid is not cancelled, the honor transfer is.

Losing honor because of an honor bid is a framework step, that happens after revealing dials, but before drawing cards. Duty cancel the effects of that Framework Step. So you won’t lose honor, and will gain 1 honor. Then you draw cards. Because Duty does not alter the value in your dial, and you draw cards equal to your dial value, you still draw that exact amount of cards. 

Hope that makes it clear.

Definitely a different playstyle, appears to focus on breaking provinces, shinobi, poisons, and keeping your honor between 6 and 1. As far as release timing though, the announced release is for October, while Worlds should be early November. The only question is whether it will be released in time to be legal for Worlds.

That...is completely wrong. 

New stronghold for existing clans were first introduced in Time of the Void in 1997 (Phoenix and Crab). Lion and Scorpions got theirs in Scorpion Clan Coup, and Crane, Dragon and Unicorn in Hidden Emperor. By the end of the Jade arc, every clan had multiple arc-legal strongholds, except the one off vilain factions of Ninja and Spirits. 

From Gold onward, every clan had two strongholds in every base set except Emperor (4) and Ivory (which went back to 1). Prior to Emperor, every clan also gained additional stronghold as the arc progressed, so that they usually finished the arc with four legal strongholds, and always at least three. Emperor's innovation was printing all four strongholds at once, rather than waiting for expansions for the next two.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I started in the tail end of celestial and had dragon decks for both pillars of virtue and tetsu kama mura, so dragon had at least two by the end of celestial, and I think my dad used a different stronghold that I didn't bother with because he played kensai and I either played enlightenment shenanigans or monk shenanigans (or monk enlightenment shenanigans) basically the entire time I played the ccg.

To be honest I'm almost wishing we didn't even have a restricted list. I get why we do, it just seems everyone and their brother go straight to "let's restrict that" as soon as they see new cards/combos they don't like, without even waiting to see how they perform or looking for ways to counter or play around them.

Unicorn is already in that position.............they just don't have the cards to buy yet.  lol

1) I'm not insisting. I'm just wondering aloud.

2) You can still play City of the Open Hand, just none of the other restricted cards.

I was responding directly to your suggestion, Andrew. I feel if the Stronghold goes on the Restricted List, which contains some of the most powerful cards in the environment, players would most feel compelled to use the other Stronghold, and there would be resentment as people felt 'forced' into making the 'extra' purchase (and yes, almost everyone who such a move would impact is likely to be buying the Clan Pack anyway, but we both know that wouldn't stop the indignation or the outrage).

It's fairly hypothetical right now anyway - we've seen, what, 20 of the 170+ new cards that will be legal the same time as the new Stronghold? It's likely to be a changed meta whatever happens.
