I’m looking for the second source to verify this.

Please don’t spam the general forum with off topic posts, or the Legion boards for that matter either. Post them in the off topic board like you are supposed to.

I haven't read the Kenobi novel but I can imagine it might be about the turn from the greatest jedi warrior of clone wars becoming a hermit.

I can imagine a movie in the style of John Wick but with lightsabers. That would be awesome. And when the blue lightsabre goes silent, he will understand that this is not the way of the jedi. Awesome!

Meh. I was hoping they would stay in the vein of Solo and put out more smuggler/bounty hunter/pirate themed plots. Or even something more into the imperial army from cadet's view; like a Rogue One style anthology from the imperial POV or something. Going back to the Jedi-centric stuff already? The break wasn't  long enough lol

As much as I enjoy Obi-Wan, I'm not sure how they could do a movie about him that doesn't break the lore.  He's supposed to be staying on Tattooine, guarding Luke, not going off on wild adventures.

In the current run main Star Wars Marvel comic they frequently have episodes of Obi-Wan's adventures on Tatooine. They have been decent stories and not particularly lore breaking. If you think that Obi-wan just sat at home or watched Luke from a distance but not too much of a distance, sure it breaks the lore. Otherwise...

I want a movie with about 10 lines of dialogue total. Long meditative shots of the Tunisian (Tatooinian) desert. Close ups of a weathered face staring into space, flashbacks (new footage shot!) of Hayden Christensen suffering on Mustaphar. Flashbacks of savage battles in the clone wars, Kenobi ordering thousands of clones to their deaths attacking an entrenched droid position. Flashbacks of Kenobi escaping Coruscant (perhaps spying on the Emperor, contemplating a suicide attack). The film will culminate in an epic Yojimbo style showdown with Hutt enforcers and Obi Wan cutting down an inquisitor in a duel (only time lightsaber appears in the movie at all) but the duel lasts about 5 minutes of them staring at each other near Lars Homestead at dusk (just like duel with Maul on Rebels) and it ends in a single well placed strike.

Credits roll as a young Luke does his chores with Kenobi looking on from the distance.

I do think there will be a lot of flashbacks, especially of the clone wars so the film has the obligatory action scenes.

Both Ewan and Hayden haven't aged much considering ROTS was 13 years ago already. Some good make-up and a bit of anti-aging cgi would do the trick easy.

And of course anything with Yoda is no problem.  Whether flashbacks or them communing in the present.

Liam Neeson better be on board for at least voiceovers if not flashbacks to teach obiwan the path to immortality.

What I'm expecting from this Obi-wan movie is some closer looks at Tatooine.

Also, at least some other people must know that there's an old hermit dude living in the Jundland Wastes.

Would be pretty funny to see "Ben" Kenobi interacting with random Sandtroopers who have no clue that they're talking to a Jedi, they seem to have no problem with him riding in Luke's landspeeder so it would make sense that they generally just assume he's some down-on-his-luck moisture or Bantha farmer.

These characters are more interesting off screen. It's a huge universe. Give us stories from it. Not filling semi-blanks on known characters.

Also yes. This should be in Off-Topic ... unless we were discussing the possible ships in Obi Wan and how they might transfer to the table.

I'm going to spoil this movie for you, obi wan lives at the end and was in no danger at any time.

How do you know?  What if the Obi-Wan in Episode IV was a clone, Force ghost, or Force projection the ENTIRE TIME!!!!!! (duh, duh, duh!!!)
