Running two commanders??

So is anyone running Vader and veers?

I tried really hard to find a list that worked for Vader and Veers. Unfortunately, I've had very little luck - mostly because the two units don't compliment each other very well. 

Vader's command cards and abilities seem to work best when surrounded by Troops. Preventing units from panic, plus the "New Ways to Motivate Them" command card are all about strategically using your Trooper units and keeping them in the fight.

Alternatively, Veers seems to work best to strengthen vehicles. Imperial discipline is pretty good, but not amazing. His 2-pip though is great, specifically with Speeder Bikes. 

It's hard to build an effective list that incorporates enough vehicles and Troopers to make the two commanders worthwhile. I think my plan is to have two lists at my disposal, one led by each commander. I really do want to run a double commander list though, so I hope the third Imperial commander that shouldn't be too far away from announcement can fit in with both Veers and Vader.

If I HAD to run a Veers / Vader list, it would probably look like this:

Yeah running Veers is more geared to having at least 1 ATST on the table so that's 500 pts between Vader/Veers and an upgraded ATST, isn't going to leave much. 

More likely to happen with the Twins.

I've been using Vader with 2 fleshed out snow trooper squads to march up center field while having veers sit back with 2 hh12 teams with scopes, and 2 dlt teams up the sides.

With just veers alone i like bringing bikes, but I rather enjoy using both commanders with a wall of troops. Veers and hh12 troopers go together beautifully, as do Vader and snow troopers. They dominate center field.

Nice work, I still think Veers is better with vehicles for the cost, but that one is a good call in my eyes.

My next list to run is Veers/Vader/Double Bikes/Quad DLT.  3 Bikes/DLTs is probably better, but I'm just playing with what I own.

I think that that list might suffer from a lack of troopers on anything but the barest of tables, but who knows
