But from what I can tell the week is going to be full of announcements, so I don't understand why people's panties are in a bunch because of what they observed from Day 1. After a solid 6 weeks of Legion, Legion, Legion, Destiny, Destiny, Legion it's about time the biggest selling SW game had some focus back on it. Plus us IA and Armada fans have had a drought for months until recently. Its time for Legion fans to realise that the older brothers are just as important. I've seen a lot of people who say they play games other than X-wing say they took time off of work to watch the Hyperspace Report (because they love the games FFG makes and are passionate) and who felt shafted by the poor communications strategy of FFG. From a purely professional standpoint, it's hard to disagree or say they don't have reason to feel shafted. I know if I ran my PR operations in the past like FFG runs thiers currently, I'da been looking for a new job. All good points. I'm new to the forums but from what I've seen already, most people play more than one FFG game. I got super into X-Wing about 8 months ago (kinda wish I knew 2.0 was on the horizon, especially with all the previous ships getting re-releases but oh well haha), but as I was starting to look at Armada, Legion was announced so I decided to go this route for now. And so with most people playing more than one game, the fact that a couple games are sorely due for info, and the vague-ness of their report announcement- it was easily deciphered that all the SW line was to be discussed. I thought it would be too, hence me starting this thread haha. I get needing to be vague to keep what the report about from being too obvious, but they could have easily gone through their forums to see that they were being way too vague and released a statement saying "Whoa sorry, we love all the feedback from our community, but unfortunately we're just talking about products under ONE game for this report, but please stay tuned to see what that game is and look forward to announcements for other games shortly after!". There, problem solved before it became a problem. 1 hour ago, Orkimedes said: It’s actually a weird contrast to the “new” GW, whose community team is very actively and consistently engaged. That would be a good model for FFG to follow. It is pretty crazy to think that the "new GW" is almost better than FFG now with PR, I mean recently they pretty much said they were going to be really open about most of their inner workings and what they were working on. In this day and age, FFG should follow suit. They release stuff like video game companies... I.e. Here's an announcement (generates hype). Nothing for awhile...then finally come close to release- here's more announcements/stuff with release date or general idea of one (more hype). Game or expansions comes out (lots of hype)... and then nothing until the next round of that. Problem is, they dont sell video games. Their products are games that grow and expand and are played for years. There needs to be more articles about what is currently out, like how to use certain expansions, what design space of each game they're looking into more, maybe explaining parts of games people aren't really using (I.e. Jam tokens in X-wing), etc. It would certainly keep the engagement high and you wouldn't keep people around just for the hype train.

When you're talking about FFG and Video Game Media, don't forget "only give special preview looks to those people who never say a word sideways about us".
