They just put a ton of X wing articles up on the website, looks like X wing 2.0 is it for at least today.

Maybe they'll be releasing articles for each game as the week goes on?

Hmm, I was kinda hoping to at least see what the first special forces for the empire would be by now. Han and Rebels were announced almost a month ago.

Yeah i'm a little surprised that when they say on the official article... "to give you a look ahead at some of our upcoming Star Wars products.", they only meant for ONE game.

A little misleading, they started out the presentation by talking about how they offered all these various types of SW games but then only talk about one...? They could have mentioned during the presentation that news/articles would be coming for the rest of the games. Like "hey, its only about X wing today but stay tuned for more on our website"... or quickly going over whats coming for each game and then saving "the best for last" with X wing 2.0 and the panel talking about it.

Not the end of the world... but I feel bad for Armada players, they havent gotten anything in forever.

Like many I was hoping for a nugget of something for Legion and am naturally disappointed, but I really don't see how I can fault FFG. Legion has been out almost 6 weeks and there is already a good bit of upcoming product announced through quarter 3. Combine that with the fact that they used today to make the single biggest announcement in FFG history outside of a new product launch, and anything we would have gotten would have seemed out of place...a new special forces unit or something? That could still be dropped on us at anytime. Today needed to be a united effort behind XWTMG 2.0.

It’s just poor communication.  It’s an epic announcement, for sure, but not one that any non-Xwing players care about.

Agreed- but I think if they had given nuggets to all the other games, everyone in the non-X wing FFG Star Wars community wouldn't be in outrage. They could have said "hey Legion and IA players, you just got stuff so no updates right now, but for these other games (like Armada which is sorely due for really anything) here's some tidbits to look forward to".... and then spent the rest of the time going over X wing and everyone would be happy and hyped.

While it did sound like it would be more than just x-wing news, we can potentially gleam some info for this game.   In x-wing 2.0, the first order and resistance are their own faction - I think we can expect similar things with Legion, not right away, but eventually.

That is true, probably means that they'll be their own factions down the line instead of being sub factions of Rebels and Imps. Which I think is a much better idea. It worked for X wing due to lack of ships and it didnt break the game.

Also Boba is no longer part of the empire. Hopefully that is indicative of if/when he shows up in Legion he won't just be thrown onto the imperials.

So... What's the point of X-Wing 2.0? It looks like refurb'd X-Wing (which it definitely needed.)

Singe FFG flat out lied to all its customer base, saying the hyperspace report was going to be about all Star Wars products, but it was just about X-wing, how can anyone trust anything the company says from now on?

They didn't "lie" per se... people just assumed that it meant they'd be addressing more than one game since it was called the "Hyperspace Report" and said it would be about a bunch of products... well it turned out the bunch of products were all under X-Wing 2.0.

I figured we would have heard about X Wing, Armada, Destiny, and maybe a little Legion and IA at the very least. They'll definitely feel the backlash so I wouldn't be surprised if more articles were released this week or next for the other games.

I’m not jumping on the “they lied” bandwagon but that was poor communication to the greatest possible degree of *****.... I think this has been the greatest collective disappointment I’ve seen years beyond the xwing circles and just didn’t need to be. I don’t know who is organising this stuff at HQ but there was 100s of ways this could have been done better and frankly... this sort of  ? is how GW lost the top spot...

Very true, I think the fact that they said products, as in plural, people assumed that one product = one game. So everyone thought it was to be about a bunch of Star Wars games, not the products of a single game. 

They could have just said "Hey there's going to be a presentation with a live panel about big upcoming news to one of your favorite Star Wars games!" and that would have gone fine. Armada has been due for news and have been promised "something big is coming" for a long time so it would have been ambiguous enough between X wing and Armada.

Im holding out that there will be announcements for the rest of the games this week. Especially with force Friday/ May the 4th this Friday, its too good an opportunity to pass up. To have a presentation and only talk about X-Wing and blatantly neglect your other games, literally RIGHT AFTER saying how you had a SW game for everyone.... they could be up to something.

If they were, it's probably a shock and awe tactic... shock them with a HUGE announcement of new X Wing without touching any other game, get everyone stirring online talking about it and talking about how they didnt mention anything else... and then awe them/ win them back with announcements for the rest of their games. That might be a stretch but if they were smart, it'd be pretty good marketing.

Expect the worst and hope for the best! I'm not either, but if they totally neglect everything else this week, they'd certainly be taking a page out of GW's old playbook. They've certainly been better since 8th was released.
