Hello all !

I'm here to share my progress on my Star Wars Legion journey !

I finished my box set (aside from 2DL and the missile launcher). I hope this will please your eyes (at least a little :p)

I like that your Luke is in his ROTJ clothes.

Looks nice and love the green saber but id be too concerned they will release a ROTJ luke down the line too to do that  (im a bit OCD with things like that)

If you happen to have picked up a 2nd core set, you could have an extra Luke to try a different look on.

I'm going to probably paint mine in non film specific outfit. Surely OT Luke had more than four outfits and a poncho.

I know the feeling, I have the same but... I can't wait TBH...

Thanks. Nothing really difficult here. The most difficult was the different cuts.

I did, no doubt on this. But TBH I do not like how Luke is playable. I'm looking to switch for Han Solo as soon as he is out

So yeah, I may have been under worked on Luke than what I did on Vader... 

 

 

I'm working on my 3rd Rebel Squad. Will have similar colors set but differently put on clothes. This one will have most white pants, dark shirt and urban camo sweaters/hoodies.

Next batch already started with some reinforcment :

And a converted running chicken (as i'll have 3, I want at least one to be not as the other). The rider of this one will be paint as a Chiss (even if, yes, Chiss are more an Imperial race...). The third rider will be converted to be a Twi'lek :

Lots of great work here, really nicely done.

i assume the walls added to the various bases are styrofoam?  Looks good.  I love it in the speeder bikes but I admit I have mixed feelings on the rebel troops.  I think it hides too much of the mini - but having said that I like it when people make bold choices so bravo.

I think your Vader is one of the best uses of OSL that I have scene.  Looks really natural in the first shot especially. The reason it’s so good is the transition from the red glow of the lightsaber to more neutral colored (white) overhead highlights.  It’s really great.

i don’t actualky think you overdid the OSL on Luke.  But he doesn’t have much in the way of regular highlights like Vader does.  So if he’s standing in a dark room with just the lightsaber glow this is perfect.  I also like the green lightsaber and Luke post- ESB choice.  Something I might steal when I (inevitably) get a second core set.

I just picked up a second Luke on eBay for $10 to do exactly this...put him in different clothes with a black glove and green saber.

Nice work on your miniatures. The arm swap on the squad leader looks perfect. Nice conversion so far for your sniper. There should be another converted mini below him showing who gave him the boost.

With their camo color, you may put some small snow drifts down on the bases. That would look sweet.  I love the leader conversion as well. I've been looking for arms and weapons to switch on my figures as well.  There's plenty of head swaps but not very many arm and weapon swaps available yet.

Hello there!

Here are my take to "Han". As I do bother to stick to the fluff, and as my army is not based on a world that we see in the movie (hive-world in ruins), I decided not to use the "named heroes" as those they are. That's why my Han is a "Mirali'han" (pun intended). 

I still have to find him a name, do some details (like a "lighter" hair color) and the base. But the concept is here. I hope you'll enjoy it. 

 

 

Have to end an AT-RT, 2 commando charge teams, 1 commando sniper team and 1 Z6, for Sunday (and an event ;))

Hello all !

Back again after side event in Paris, Espace Charenton, where I ended up first (well, first because of points. We never actually play a last 4th game to determine which would have been the first player) with my Rebs list

One of my price was this Palpatine, which is a lovely mini to paint (painted it yesterday evening, really smooth mini) :

Next step is doing a clean bases, adding some dust to lower robes of the Emperor (the man himself) and I think he is done.

After that, I have to end my 3 Protons Charges Saboter weapon teams, and my 800pts (a little bit more) of rebs are done. I will then switch to an Empire list (with snowtrooper, guards, etc :p).

Me again. After the event of November, 25th in Paris, I am scolding every other minis of other games I have to focus only on Legion (gosh I love this game) 

Here I come with a finish Palpatine. Something went bad with "matte varnish", more like "Satine" one. But eh, the Man is done. 

And I started his own personal guards. 

Almost done one of the four (need to base it, matte varnish it and glossy the helmet, and perhaps gloves and boots!) 

 

After them, I'm going to clean the last 6 dudes of my Rebels list (my saboteurs). And then, my imps list (I'm going for a "close combats" army with them. No bike, no veers, only 1 dlt-19... Let's get some business done!)

Some matt varnishes need to be stirred up with a stick, then shaken with ridiculous vigor and duration. Looks like it might be improperly mixed in your case.

 

Oh and BTW those look great.

5/7 would have them guard me if I ever became emperor. 🙂

After a while without posting, here is my rebs army painted so far.

Still need to complete Pathfinder and a full squad of Commando, and I should receive 2 X-34 this week... And perhaps I will add a Wookie Warriors in the mix (I have a box under my desk since... I don't know where).
