Pretty happy with him really, his sculpt and the fun of putting the little details in there on the armor with the buttons and the like. Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) Finished up my Boba, got to say, I'm really happy with the sculpt it is amazing and was tons of fun to paint. I will note, I redid the decal on the shoulder so that it is straight rather than curved. Took this picture of the jetpack, not sure why the silver/metal paint isn't showing up that well though. Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted October 6, 2018 Finally picked up a Leia and painted her up. The sculpt is pretty meh, but she looks pretty decent once painted up. Now, she and the others are ready lead a strike team on Endor. If I remember correctly I painted the darker red with a 1 to 1 mix of Vallejo Scarlet Red and Vallejo Charred Brown. Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted January 8, 2019 Picked up Mara Jade from Skull Forge's shapeway shop. I posted some pictures in the Skull Forge thread but wanted to post them plus one more here too. Her with her two special men. And Mel's and Skull Forge's version next to each other. Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted February 3, 2019 More Astromechs, only have 2-3 left to do. R5-J2, or at least the usual merchandise associated with the droid, and what I call R5-BT which is heavily based on the paint scheme of the BT-1 1/12 kit. R4 astromechs seen in Rebels, the first from Vision of Hope and the second being the one from the art on the box and Rebel Resolve. I didn't give them them the points of light as that is only on the Rebels model of R4s as opposed to all of them and I tried to do the symbol on the R4 with the red stripe but with the panel there it was a little slanted and didn't look right to me so I painted over it. 2 Force Majeure and ImhotepMagi reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Animewarsdude 3,639 Posted February 4, 2019 Another Astromech, and my 21B medical droids. R4-A22 aka the astromech used for the art for the generic R4 astromech for X-Wing. And here are my 21B medical droids. The first is based off the more white scheme seen on the box of the Rebel specialists, the black one was inspired by 0-0-0's paint scheme, and then I did two bluish silver and more greyish silver ones to reflect the way the droid is more often seen. I generally use a spray primer, Corax White, then base coat the mini with Vallejo's Dead white, mix Nuln Oil and Lamian Medium 1 to 1 and use that for my wash, and then finally take my time with another layer or two of Vallejo's Dead White. For the more open areas I find it helps to do a rather watery layer ontop of the my first coat of white after the wash, it just helps it look more smooth.
