Just got my stuff in to start painting. I already posted the Scout Troopers one before, but will be here for posterity. 

And then my new stuff, aka the AT-ST and my beginning work on the Stormies

And IA AT-ST vs Legion AT-ST

Stormtrooper commanders. I did the pauldrons up to reflect ranks. In the EU squads were made up of 9 troopers led by a Sergeant. I figure that 2 Legion squads were around the right amount for the old EU squads so I painted two up as Sergeants, one up as the overall group commander, and one as a Corporal.

That was my plan as well, only painted a sergeant so far however. Great minds think alike!

Finished up my Stormtroopers, for the most part I'm really happy with how they turned out. I pretty much just followed Sorastro guide to IA stormtroopers. That makes it a bit more work but I think the results look good even up close.

And I finished the Snowspeeder.

I'm looking forward to them too, only have the Duro and Z6 troopers primed, so will probably get to them after I finish up Luke. I know that I plan to paint some up as near humans.

Latest update, finished up my AT-RTs. One painted up in Rebel colors while the other is mid paint job from the Imperial paint job, the idea being that it and its rider defected recently.

And here is Luke, he looks a little rough this up close but looks perfectly fine on the tabletop. I might touch his face up a little more before I'm happy with him though.

Some close ups on specific ones. I wanted to add some near humans to my minis so:

The Mirialan sisters:

A Ratataki, which is probably my favorite of my four Ion troopers.

Though, the freckled one is a close second favorite, not sure if it comes as well across with the picture or not.

And a Cathar, though I think he came out less great. I do like the markings on his helmet though. Next to him is my attempt to paint up either Rex or Nik Sant.

Since I was doing one clone I figured why not two, or least that was the idea. So This one was meant to be a grizzled member of the 212th hence the orange highlight on the helmet.

And lastly, four flavors of blue.

Got my Han + Commandos in yesterday so started painting stuff up. Got Han and the snipers done,hope to do more tonight. Actually having Han's sculpt in hand I rather like it, and while some might not like the coat it just reminds me of my old WOTC Han. Maybe if we see an Operative version of Han down the line then he will not have the coat so people have the option.

I think I did fairly decent though made the brown pants too dark, might change that at somepoint, not sure. For people curious about the trench coat I just mixed Vallejo bonewhite and Deck Tan equally, with the camo being Deck Tan + Russian Green and Deck Tan + Earth, with the wash used being a watered down Agrax Earthshade. 

The first Sniper I did up as Loku Kanoloa from Imperial Assault.

And here he is with the IA mini that inspired his paintjob. 

As for the second sniper I had planned to paint them up as an arctic Mon Calamari like the ones that were apart of Raddus' crew, though ended up going with the darker color since I just liked the look of it and then took the black specks seen on the arctic Mon Calamari crew.

Great job on the Mon Calamari snipers. Loku was a favorite of mine as well as Admiral Ackbar and inspired me to want to create a full squad of Mon Calamari rebels. Full head swaps with WotC Mon Cal Mercs.

The Mon Cal sniper beside Loku look like father and son. (scale wise) Looks that could be a father/son moment when dad teaches him to pick off his first Imperial.

That would because it is the Loku mini from IA that I had there as reference when I was painting.

Update, knocked out a few more minis so here they are.

Ol' Prune face and his cousin too. I actually kind of rather liked how these two came out, more than I expected I would.

Next up are the proton charge men.

I tried to write in Aurebesh 'Boom' on one of their helmets.

As well as tried to get the Proton Charges in their hands to look as much like the ones in ROTJ as I could.

And lastly are the squad leaders. I like the pose but not the open mouth on the minis, so I'm sort of happy how they turned out. The one on the left has a rebel logo on her helmet, while it is hard to see the one on the right has tally marks on hers. And I have to say I'm not as pleased as I might be with the one on the right's skin tone, makes her look a bit like a ghoul, so I might redo that in the near future.

Thanks, though I just went and gave her a slightly warmer skin color so she didn't look so sickly to me.
