Patteous 112 Posted March 29, 2018 My Rebels are geared up and ready to go. My first painted was Luke, followed by the sandy colored troopers and AT-RT. After that I decided I wanted some color so I make a green scheme. Once my core rebels were done I painted all of my Imperial minis so we could play the L2P. Next I painted that big purple beast flying high in the sky. I decided for my last AT-RT and Rebel Troopers that I wanted something that would look a little more elite and badass so I went with a deep red color scheme. I’m really happy with how those turned out and wish I would’ve had Nuln Oil for all of my troops. It’s seriously so much better than the wash I was using. There’s also these guys. I did a simple white prime on the troopers and filled in the gaps with a toned down black. Vader I used a spray black matte enamel to base then went over with various shades of black and grey before adding the silver bits and minimal highlights. You can’t tell from this picture but he has deep red lenses in his helmet as well. 7 Basylle, Muelmuel, Thrindal and 4 others reacted to this
Tvayumat 3,637 Posted March 29, 2018 Can we get a closeup of the red rebels? I love the visually distinct themes!

Currently in bed trying to fall asleep while thinking of how I’m going to paint my fleet troopers once they release. Cornwolf 28 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Lovely, what paint did you use for the silver looking bits? On Vader that is. Edited March 29, 2018 by Cornwolf 1 Patteous reacted to this

It’s become my favorite thing to drybrush on weapons or anything that’s metal.

BigBadAndy 640 Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) These look great man. I’m sort of happy to see someone leaving the standard bases on the minis. You planning to do anything with those? I’m agonizing over how to deal with them. I have primed mine because I mounted the minis, but I don’t want to make a full on diaorama out of each one as seems to be fashionable. Is that an X-Wing playmat for the backdrop? Edited April 12, 2018 by BigBadAndy 1 Patteous reacted to this

Yeah it’s an x-wing mat. I commented on your thread that I’m using some mixed grey earth pigments on a piece of Terrain that would make a good gravel look on bases. I’ll be posting a build log of it to this thread in the coming days once it’s finished if you wanna see how it looks. I also need to do close ups of all my minis as people had requested. Been busy building instead. Lol 1 BigBadAndy reacted to this
