cookluke5150 117 Posted March 27, 2018 Its so interesting to see if you can have Vader ATST and speeder bikes for a competitive army. That leaves you only 3 stories to get objectives In my 2 full games that was not enough vs 5 reg troopers.
ScummyRebel 5,344 Posted March 27, 2018 Use the non stormtrooper units to delete a couple of rebel ones. Now you can compete Or drop the bikes for 2 stormie units. 1 1 MattShadowlord and The Jabbawookie reacted to this
LunarSol 1,369 Posted March 29, 2018 Snowtroopers are likely to help with the objective grabbing. Their special weapons aren't looking super important, so they can keep moving up the table shooting for a pretty cheap price.
Oberron 628 Posted March 29, 2018 Don't forget that vader is a trooper unit too and is able to get objectives. But as scummyrebel said if you delete a couple of opponent's units it won't be to bad, I made An opponent's rebel trooper unit panic off the board first turn using the at-st mortor and primary fire for 2 supression tokens and speeder bikes for a 3rd. 1 poke450 reacted to this

Keep in mind that as long as the mortar rolls a hit, the defender gets 2 suppression due to the suppressive keyword, which can lead to turn 1 panics in the right situations. Regardless I liked the 3rd application of supression tokens just in case they cleared one when they do activate when rolling. (and not in range of their commander of course) Edited March 30, 2018 by Oberron

That makes quite a bit more sense XD
