last jedi deleted scenes

Recommended Posts

I think the raiding scene was very important to what Luke was trying to explain to Rey. I think most of the unnecessary fandom hurt about his character wouldn't have happened if it would have been included. He makes a really good point about the force users in Star Wars. They are responsible for 99% of all the war. Without the Jedi the series would be called "Mostly functional galactic politics with minor disagreements".

'Course I could just be salty that so many people think that Luke having a realistic reaction is character assassination...

Yeah I'm salty.

Are you trying to kill me, because that is killing me. And none of that killing them softly ****. No no. It's with an army of (gw) orcs armed with chainsaws, machine guns, and nuclear exsplosions, with jackhammers, and heavy metal blaring in the background for good measure. I love it.

I'm fighting so hard to keep this out of the main threads but some of the fandom is really testing my patience these days.

Thanks, I'm proud of this meme xD

It really is such a shame how anal some aspects of any fanbase can be, be it a superhero fanbase, a sci-fi fanbase, a fantasy fanbase.

I've always viewed such tendencies as nothing more than impotent attempts at superiority complexes, the whole and unspoken, but fully implied "more fan than thou" mantra.

One thing that always annoyed me was the whole : "If it didn't happen on screen, it didn't happen." dogma.   I've always found that to be a very restrictive view when it comes to those who like to make fanfilms.

ANAL SW FAN:   A star destroyer never fired ion cannons on screen, so why are you putting ion cannons on a star destroyer?  Study your Star Wars, man!

REASONABLE ME:  Because every technical workup of the star destroyer from Lucasfilm Archives has the ISD outfitted with ion cannons.   Practice what you preach. Next silly question.

ANAL STAR TREK FAN:   Why do your photon torpedo explosions look like nuclear explosions, man?!   They're supposed to be nothing more than a bright flash of light, and then nothing left.

REASONABLE ME:  It's called artistic license.  Look it up some time.

ANAL STAR TREK FAN:  And why in the **** are you using Jar Jar Abrams music in what is clearly an original timeline video that you've made?!  That's just insulting to those of us who like real Trek!

REASONABLE ME:  I did it because I could.   And the idea of what constitutes "real" Star Trek is just amusing to me, because there is no such thing as "real" Star Trek.

The worst that always made me laugh was this:

ANAL STAR TREK FAN:  Why did they have Picard driving  a dune buggy in Nemesis, laughing like a kid?!  Picard would never do that, man!

REASONABLE ME:   Because the fans are not the ones who determine what a fictional character would or would not do.   That creativity is left up to the writers, and the actors, because they are the ones qualified and paid to create the characters.
