So I just found out that the Imperial Star Destroyer that Konstantine has used is called Relentless. Interesting bit since I always found Relentless to be new player friendly.

The Father, Son and Daughter from Rebels are an integral part of the EU. They are very powerful Force users, maybe even manifestation of the Force itself. Without too much spoiler let's just say that Anakin encountered them during the Clone Wars and later they played in important part in a multi-book adventure of Luke as well.

According to the old canon Essential Guide to Warfare, Thrawn was the mastermind behind Death Squadron's hint for the Rebels that culminated in the Battle of Hoth.

I hated that part. It seemed like the Imperial fleet couldn't do anything right pre-Endor without Thrawn's help according to Jason Fry

Actually it was Zahn who established that Thrawn found out the Rebels were planning on using an ice planet as their base, in Choices of One, communicating this to Vader (note that, since there's many ice planets out there, this doesn't narrow it down all that much, it just removes a few planet types from the list)

 

Fry simply referenced existing data.

I believe he also narrowed it down to what region the planet was in.

If "the Outer Rim" then it should be noted that the region is huge.

 

 

Stackpole did say Thrawn was the mastermind behind the Battle of Derra IV, which was set over 2 years after Choices of One, when the Rebels had already started sending resources to Hoth.
