does the monk get to add extra craft to his strength when fighting in battle??

okay so lets say the monk gains the Maiden,,and has 2 added to his craft from this follower. and his next turn he fights a giant,,does the monk get to add his craft value of 3 to his strength,,,or does he get to add 5 including the maiden's added 2 bonus??

He gets to add his Craft value (aka starting Craft), so even with Craft 20, he'll add +3 (which he could double for a turn with Brainwave).
