Just started listening to it.  I really enjoyed the old thrawn trilogy, and I'm hoping this one stacks up.

Also, while I can't remember where I heard this, so take it with a grain of salt, but Timothy Zahn is trying to write his current Thrawn trilogy so that it doesn't necessarily negate anything from the old Thrawn trilogy. While the old TT is no longer canon, at least Zahn is attempting to create a cohesive story between his two trilogies.

Yeah this is my current novel.  So far so good.  I never thought I'd enjoy this after the original one, but it has been great so far (I'm about 1/3 of the way in.)

I think I may be the only person who isn't enjoying it like they thought they would.  I feel like Zahn really rushed to complete this book. There's a lack of atmosphere (no pun intended) through most of the story. While I'm glad to see Thrawn back in canon, and I don't  necessarily hate it, this book doesn't shine like some of his others involving this character.

I enjoyed the book. 

The first issue of the comic adaptation is even better. Hopefully that holds true through the remaining issues.

I'm glad it contradicts the part in rebels which makes it sound like this Thrawn is as bloodthirsty as a typical Imp commander. Though I find it odd that pretty much every capship that appears in the book is identified by class, both imperial and resistance or pirate, except for the frigates which are never given a class.

I would recommend James Luceno's Tarkin after reading Thrawn. It's also canon and presents a lot of new content that may be relevant to Armada
