Also, not sure you remember me, but I played both Connor and Elijah a LONG time ago. At a wave... maybe.. 2 tourney. Glad to see familiar faces sticking around in Armada for the long haul.

I do remember you from a Wave 2 Tourney (was my first competitive event in Armada) I flew and Acbar list. I look forward to seeing you again at a future event.

Totally agree. Forcing a 6/5 isnt an issue.

Just like I said regarding the top table rd 4, i knew the game would draw because there was no way any sane, competant player would throw away a lock at the cut and charge in.

My issue is that my fleet was a wave 6 fleet, that used wave 6 objectives. JJ showed me how exploitable these were when he used a turn 2 raddus drop to steal my vip token with a hammerhead and fly away without me having the ability to do anything about it. There is no way I could have prepared for that. In that game, where he won by 13 mov, it meant the difference between being in the semis and being out.

So I HAD TO change up my objectives. My goal in taking nav hazards was to HOPEFULLY break up the turtle fleets by putting rocks right in front of them. But it was mixed results. It was actually way better against agro fleets than tank fleets. Again though, this was 3 days before the event and I was past the point of testing thoroughly.

With my previous objectives I could force a fight, with the ones I ended up taking I lost that ability.

So long story short, @Captain Weather  I don't begrudge any of my opponents for doing what they did. I WOULD have destroyed anyone that attacked me, so they just did what was right for them. But I am PRETTY good at feigning weakness and baiting fights. That is what this whole fleet is built around- i want you to look at it and think, "I can probably beat this, it doesn't look that good" and so when I give you an opening you take it and I suprise you by tabling you in return.

End of the day, 3 of 4 games being wise 6/5s has just never happened to me before in a tournament. If I get 1 I am usually still sad because something can be the right and understandible option and still not be particularly fun. To get 3... well, needless to say I wasn't having a third haha.

There's the breaks, but definitely not salty about the choices my opponents made.

Photos from round 1, and all but one of the setups for round 2 are up! https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/270134-socal-regional-championship-photo-essay/

Matchups are listed, there's a link for 1st/2nd player and objective info, but we're still waiting on list information.

Will post round 3, and then round 4. Maybe not so much sooner as later--there's a lot to work through!
