Ship scale reference

Recommended Posts

Day one of my vacation, so I thought I'd whip this up. These are some commonly talked about ships. These are all in 1/48 scale and sit on a 6ft by 3ft play area. These are for terrain purposes, morbid curiosity, or a closer look at what we can and cannot expect to be released as playable minis.

From Left to Right: Imperial Shuttle, T47 airspeeder, AT-AT, U-Wing, X-Wing, Sandcrawler

If there's any ships you want me to add, let me know.

That wingspan makes me think we wont be seeing them :(

The wings do move in a similar way to a Imp shuttle. I put them at their most expanded. But for a smaller footprint, the can be brought in. I think it's a solid... maybe we'll see them. I'm not saying no.

This is awesome thanks for the scale :)

I never realized how small the t-47 airspeeder really was in comparison to the others.

I was wondering if you could add the Laat gunship and the imperial gunship thing from Rebels?

If they are not too big I would expect we might see them eventually.

Thank you for this! I guess I didn't realize just how big the Imperial Shuttle is! Especially compared to the AT-AT. I was thinking of getting a Shuttle snap-fit Bandai kit and use it as a "scenic" piece on a landing platform.. but...... I'd have a better effect maybe with a TIE? (any chance you could put a TIE Fighter in the pic please?) If not a TIE on a landing platform.. any suggestions?

I'm having trouble finding appropriate top view photos for most of the tanks out there. The T2-B Repulsor Tank is about twice the length of the T47 snowspeeder, while the Occupier Tank from Rogue One is 3 meters less in length than the T2-B. If anyone has any perfect top view images of these tanks, let me know.

Updated with TIE fighter and LAAT Gunship

Some of us have long driveways thank you very much.

Then have the help get your mail. Either way, someone’s hoofing it. :P

... he says, having grown up in a rural area and knowing people who live on farms whose mailboxes are the better part of a mile away from their house...

CARRY ON

Updated with AT-TE because I was curious.

AT-TE seems outta wack. In Rebels it had to crawl up the AT-AT legs and shoot up into it's neck :/

Something is off

They’re the same length (as seen here) but the AT-TE is less than half the AT-AT’s height. That’s why it had to crawl up

All references I've found put it at 22 meters in length, 2 meters longer than an AT-AT. A Legion board is (in scale) 88m x 44m (6x3). That puts an AT-TE at exactly 50% the length of the short side of the play area.
