It is cool to learn that he's still vested in the property if only on a personal level and that he can drop by the set. GL may have had better directing chops when he was younger, but his strength has always been in "big picture" ideas; he's highly creative but things (generally) were more successful when others ran with those ideas and gave them shape, and breathed life into them. If they can increase this level of involvement a tiny bit I'm pretty sure Disney can get close to the ideal level of GL involvement in Star Wars.
