Tannoth is probably one of my favourite new canon comic characters. After BT and 000 1 1 wintermoonwolf and WAC47 reacted to this
LennoxPoodle 191 Posted February 2, 2018 For diversity purposes they could have at least made all models in the core box and the expansions which contain the same units with different poses. So that we could have for example 15 different stormtroopers with E-11 and 3 different ones with each heavy weapon.
Flokk 0 Posted February 2, 2018 I'm not very happy with the fact, that we get basically preposed minis with very little possibility of reposing/ customization. I'd have much prefered sprues, but I as a long time wargamer and hobbyist might not be part of the group this game is primarily aimed for. And for new players the easy build might be attractive. For me a lot of the same poses on the board look boring. Maybe this easy build approach will change with time.

Mostly meant of the new batch, I am aware the old ones were at least in a limited capacity. The point was more that even GW, a company known for providing a ton of options in their multi-part plastic kits, has been producing more and more single pose/push fit models lately. Thanks though! 1 hour ago, LennoxPoodle said: For diversity purposes they could have at least made all models in the core box and the expansions which contain the same units with different poses. At a certain point presumably the sales of either the Core set or the initial expansions slows down (new players only need the core +some other, newer expansions) so they have multiple molds which are wearing out at differing rates for the same product, or you can't use the production lines for the expansions to help fill the core sets. (Warning: Hypothetical situation using a very basic knowledge of mini manufacturing) Right now, in order to fil a theoretical order for 100 core sets and 100 Stormtrooper expansion, they just need to retool the production line once, and then do a run of 300 of each pose of Stormtrooper. If each of those squads was supposed to have different poses, then you have to tool the line for squad A, run 100, retool Squad B, run 100, and finally tool for Squad C, run 100. Retooling a production line costs some amount of time and money, and even if it only takes let's say 1 hour that's 1 hour that the mini producing machine is not producing product. Bohemian73 161 Posted February 2, 2018 I like to customize my armies/troops, and will do it with Legion, even with limited options. I also like to make my own terrain. It would be nice to at least get something that can be modified rather than the single piece PVC I am starting to see. I should point out that I got started with lead miniatures which were very easy to pose and modify, so that is part of my nature. As mentioned about FFG is more about ease and not about the minority gamer that I represent. I am okay with that too. I took apart a Firespray to add LED lights, and I plan to add LED lights to at least one Disney AT-AT I will be using for terrain.
