stev 105 Posted January 26, 2018 I was thinking about how to best use a mc75 and came up with this list. Also if you like headcannon read fleet title. Any feedback or ideas help! Name: Sato joins the rebellion Faction: Rebel Commander: Commander Sato Assault: Advanced Gunnery Defense: Capture the VIP Navigation: Solar Corona MC75 Ordnance Cruiser (100) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Ordnance Experts (4) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Rapid Reload (8) = 128 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Quad Battery Turrets (5) • Salvation (7) = 63 Points Pelta Command Ship (60) • Commander Sato (32) • Intensify Firepower! (6) • Expanded Hangar Bay (5) = 103 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) • Comms Net (2) • Bright Hope (2) = 28 Points Squadrons: • Tycho Celchu (16) • Shara Bey (17) • 3 x Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (21) • Lieutenant Blount (14) = 68 Points Total Points:
Ginkapo 9,321 Posted January 26, 2018 Not sure Dato is being fully leveraged. That Pelta seems like a huge point sink for little.

BrobaFett 4,209 Posted January 26, 2018 Can vouch the foundation of the list- that mc75- is the loadout I have really been liking for the ordinance cruiser with sato. Pelta is for thematic reasons, so dont change if you dont care to, but if you want to tune the list listen to gink above.

stev 105 Posted January 27, 2018 I updated list how does this look? Faction: Rebel Commander: Commander Sato Assault: Defense: Navigation: MC75 Ordnance Cruiser (100) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Ordnance Experts (4) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Rapid Reload (8) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) = 128 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Quad Battery Turrets (5) • Salvation (7) = 63 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Commander Sato (32) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) • Jaina's Light (2) = 85 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) • Expanded Hangar Bay (5) • Bright Hope (2) = 31 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) = 24 Points Squadrons: • Shara Bey (17) • Tycho Celchu (16) • Lieutenant Blount (14) • 3 x Z-95 Headhunter Squadron (21) = 68 Points Total Points:
stonestokes 737 Posted January 27, 2018 I think I would try to figure out how to fit a couple of VCXs in there, probably by dropping all four Z-95s. If you drop the Expanded Hangar Bay and the Bright Hope title, you could also fit in a HWK, or maybe an X-Wing. With the Z-95s, I would worry about losing them all to an Imperial alpha strike (or even a Rebel alpha strike if I was second player). Then you're stuck with Shara trying to keep a medium fighter screen off your ships while Tycho spots for your attacks.
stev 105 Posted January 27, 2018 Z95s no good? Idk what best fighter screen would be best?
stonestokes 737 Posted January 27, 2018 @stev Z-95s are fine on offense, but they are weak on defense. You don't necessarily need to win the squadron game — you just need to survive long enough to make Sato work for you. HWKs are nice because they can move around with impunity like Tycho. VCXs are nice because (1) they have a ton of hull; (2) they have Relay, so you can operate them from anywhere; and (3) they have Strategic, so you can play with tokens with them. But they also have Heavy, which means that they kind of want something escorting them.
stev 105 Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) @stonestokes If i remove z95s and expanded hanger bay i coul replace with 1 xwing 1 vcx and a hwk would that work better? Faction: Rebel Commander: Commander Sato Assault: Defense: Navigation: MC75 Ordnance Cruiser (100) • Strategic Adviser (4) • Ordnance Experts (4) • Electronic Countermeasures (7) • Rapid Reload (8) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) = 128 Points Nebulon-B Support Refit (51) • Quad Battery Turrets (5) • Salvation (7) = 63 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Commander Sato (32) • Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7) • Jaina's Light (2) = 85 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) • Bright Hope (2) = 26 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) = 24 Points Squadrons: • Shara Bey (17) • Tycho Celchu (16) • VCX-100 Freighter (15) • X-wing Squadron (13) • HWK-290 (12) = 73 Points Total Points: 399 Edited January 27, 2018 by stev
stonestokes 737 Posted January 27, 2018 @stev A little better. You really want to try to get two VCXs in there if you can. That second VCX is probably more important than the X-Wing. You can get by with just one HWK — just be careful with it. I hate saying this because I love the title, but Bright Hope can go. Since the flotilla is otherwise naked, those 2 points aren't protecting anything.
stonestokes 737 Posted January 27, 2018 I didn't mention this earlier but I should. The rest of your fleet is really well built, and I'm stealing most of this for my own take on Sato.

Ginkapo 9,321 Posted January 27, 2018 Drop Bright Hope to an unarmed variant and stick Toryn aboard. Then drop it on a table and see what happens 1 stev reacted to this
stev 105 Posted January 27, 2018 @Ginkapo i know toryn helps blue dice fighters but with sato most ships will be shooting black is it bettwr to have 1 unarm 1 combat or both combat with the ship shooting mindset?
