Mad Cat 2,250 Posted January 22, 2018 During the Dutch attack on the Royal Navy Dockyards at Chatham in June 1667 the Isle of Sheppey was also occupied by Dutch forces. Sheppey is a marshy island in the estuary that rises no more than 2 feet above sea level.
