Awesome work GM Huzz.

I really love the melee weapon templates, that’s a neat idea.

I think I spotted a typo, the Salvo Launcher seems a bit cheap at 3,000.

Thanks mate! I'm hoping the community can make good use of it.

As for the salvo launcher, 3000 is the correct price according to the number crunch. However I'll admit this weapon hasnt been play tested. So the price may very well get a bump if it proves to be too potent for its cost.

KingNova/Huzz.

Good work on the list. Any chance there is a spreadsheet /excel floating around somewhere? I could try a mass import, but I'm guessing you build it in something other than adobe.

I'm doing a Twilight Imperium mod of Genesys with slightly harder Sci Fi- so the esoteric stuff (shockwave, Thermal etc)needs to go up in price and rarity. :)

In Adobe Reader, you can use ALT and mouse select to capture each column. A little cut and paste and you can easily rebuild the tables in a spreadsheet.

@KingNova3000 - fighting the urge to put aside writing GM stuff and just playing the old Westworld game, I'm meeting myself halfway with a possible suggestion for the armoury that may or may not fit your needs.

Police detective special (aka LAPD Blaster)

5344751969_1d35db2b53_z.jpg

Skill: Ranged (Light)
Damage: 7
Crit: 3
Range: Short
Encumberance: 2
HP: 0
Price: 550
Rarity: 6 (R)
Special: Accurate 1, Click Click, Reliable, Pierce 1

Added:

* Encumberance - the original hero prop gun was quite heavy (5lbs/2.3kgs)

* Damage - the damage it does in the film is substantial, both to walls and to skinjobs

* Rarity - it's a police weapon, so restricted, and with no civilian counterpart model you'd be buying one from the black market.

It's midway between the heavy and standard revolvers in your document, and originally I had her at Crit 2 (like That Gun from Fallout New Vegas). But, given the cost and balance, I kept it at 3 for consistency's sake. Obviously it's not required to be there just for blade runners, and you correctly note revolvers are a part of sci-fi/cyberpunk imagery as hand cannons. There's the earliest examples (see also: Turner, in William Gibson's Count Zero, has a hand cannon revolver for the corporate extraction) and the very recent ones (Deus Ex, for example), so a cop or recently retired cop with a specialised weapon, that just happens to look like this gun, might be something a player gets a kick out of.

I love it @Endersai

I'm a huge fan of hand cannons in my sci-fi stuff. My current Genesys Stars Without Number character totes a monster of a one on her hip!

I'd love to add it to the armoury. I was thinking of calling just Detective Special as a more generic name. Also, maybe we could add Pierce 1? As you say the source weapon blasts through walls. Could also represent that because it's a police made weapon it had a higher velocity ammo designed for bring down perps?

Yeah the issue with the Blade Runner gun is the lack of official name, so "Detective Special" suits it nicely (as one of the names was "Rick Deckard's Detective Special").

Pierce 1 would be probably more useful than my idea of Crit 2, since the lower crit rating made it outright better stats wise than the heavy revolver. So, yeah, let's do this!

Hey just wanted to say thank you for putting this together! I'm starting a sci fi campaign and you've given me a huge hand with this!

One question I had: I noticed that the critical rating on the Frag Grenades is a 4, making them less likely to score a critical hit than, say, a Pistol. What's your rational there? Explosives have been the hardest weapon type for me to wrap my head around in Genesys.

Thanks again for all the good work!

Sorry this is a typo right? Supressive (Passive): The target, and each character (friend of foe) engaged with them, suffers an amount of strain damage equal to value of this quality. As like the other quality like Choke (Passive) states, (Friend or foe).
