Was referring to unit specialists, but i agree.

Think maybe anti infantry heavy (repel boarders!!) and weak anti tank but  we'll see.

AH! Sorry got wires crossed. Seconding the boarding shotgun guess. Maybe a close range laser cutter for the anti-tank, that would normally be used for cutting open doors?

I'm not really sure, canonically we only see them using DH-17 blaster pistols so they might be a close range sort of unit?

These are the only rebel soldiers we ever see soundly beaten by Stormtroopers! 7pts, same 1 white die attack gun as stormtroopers, white defense die, no surge conversions and no special rules whatsoever imho ;)

While more iconic, that really isn't an outfit meant for ground combat. I have been told long dresses are typically not great for movement, and a helmet is sensible. Besides, as a Rebel I wouldn't want to be wearing white as my allies would likely mistake me for a stormtrooper.

Well, that hairdo is a helmet of sorts, right? :P It would be nice to see a FFG model of that version of Leia but yea, not the best one for a battlefield.

Yes to Inferno Squad! Talk about Special Forces in the game!

Only if they can keep their helmets on, it was sort of a annoying that they kept taking their helmets off in the game whenever they needed to speak. I mean I know why, since you have actors and you want to capitalize on that and see their reactions but it doesn't change the fact I find it silly that in films and games they keep taking their helmets off, instead of you know keeping them on to protect that thing their brain rides in.

@Animewarsdude Haven't played the game yet, but sounds like they should have done the Iron man method of showing inside the helmet as a close up...

or given reasonable excuses for them not to have helmets like Gears of War.

It felt like every single time something important happened they would pop their helmets off, especially Iden Versio, so that you could see the main character's reaction to stuff. Like, every single time, only to put the helmet back on and then continue on. I mean I get on a fundamental level why they do it but an in universe logic reason escapes me.

Really there wont be an announcement of leia and troopers today?? Seems a little strange that someone can take that picture of the boxes and no official info.

It was technically a leak, FFG maybe was not ready to announce them in full. Apparently they didn't even have a news article for today at all. Which is weird if you ask me...have they ever been known to do articles on saturdays? If not it's looking like a boring couple days ahead.

I wouldn't mind seeing inferno squad as well, but i'd rather see stuff from rogue one first.

I guess this is less interesting than the contents but this picture send to show that while the core set comes in a sturdy board game style box, the expansions come in light "cereal box" type packaging.

The smaller commander boxes look like that indeed. There is still hope for the unit boxes though.

Just to clarify the terminology:

Trooper - Legion's term for any unit walking around on foot, regardless of what Force Org slot they belong to. Seems to be a keyword for other cards to trigger on. Thus far, every Corps and Commander unit has had the "Trooper" keyword. These New expansions will both be Troopers.

Corps - Units that fill the Force Org slot for basic, cheap units. The Fleet Troopers will likely be a Corps unit, like The Rebel Troopers, Stormtroopers, and Snowtroopers.

Special Forces - A Force Org slot that we haven't seen anything for yet, but rumored to include Scout Trooper Snipers.

"Specialist" doesn't have a game meaning as far as I know, but it isn't an unreasonable term to use for the models with upgraded weapons in the Corps units, though I've generally been calling them that or "Heavy Weapons Troopers" but it doesn't really matter. Once we get the official English names for the Upgrade Slots, we'll have a definitive term.

I can see the majority having their helmet on with maybe Irden (sp?) having hers off. Better yet! Have her as a separate commander!

It makes sense after the quick turnaround on articles between Friday and Monday. Maybe they did it to switch news days?

They will probably be thin cardboard like Armada and Runewars and X-wing large box expansions come in.

Those are literal translations from Spanish. A lot of times things like titles are not directly translated.  That's why I was saying I'm waiting to get the official English terminology.

Yeah, the extra problem is those were translated to Spanish from English, and then translated back by some different person/program. You can end up with different interpretations that way.
