Matrim 533 Posted December 21, 2017 Someone states that Above Question does not block court games because it is no longer your oppoents events when you choose a target. This seems illogical so can anyone confirm?
TheItsyBitsySpider 710 Posted December 21, 2017 Above Question specifies that the character cannot be chosen as a target of the event. Court games doesn't target, it simply says that either you do X or your opponent does Y. You are told to select one of those two options. It resolves and if you choose the opponent the opponent now has to choose a character. You and the event never target the character, you make the opponent have to choose a character and they choose the character with Above Question. Its not directly targeting the character, but the opponent.
Evilgm 126 Posted December 21, 2017 A character with Above Question cannot be chosen as a target for your opponent's Court Games, because they cannot be cannot be chosen as the target of an opponent's event, regardless of whom is making the choice. "If an opponent's event instructs a player to *choose* a target, the character with Above Question cannot be chosen. This also applies to events that instruct another player to choose targets" https://fiveringsdb.com/card/above-question 2 Matrim and Mirumoto Shiroiken reacted to this

LuceLineGames 131 Posted December 21, 2017 The developers made it easy for us by indicating all targets with "choose". Choose/Targets within an effect can be either before the dash or after the dash, but are still targets. 1 Matrim reacted to this

I always assumed that the opponent was the target but reading over the rulings again. I've been playing that wrong for a while lol. 1 Matrim reacted to this
