Susanooo 113 Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) thwre is still some time till release but im already thinking about the color scheme for my stormtroopers and other imperial units. Im considering clone trooper markings on their armor but im not completly convinced about it. The 501 st color scheme is the mist apeeling for.me right now but im not sure if i want to change that ,,canon" white armor. What do you think? devin.pike.1989 1,546 Posted December 20, 2017 Personally I am going for all white Stormtroopers. I will do the fun experiments with my rebels. However you could do some really cool color schemes. Just remember that a little can go a long way, especially against a stark white background. 4 wintermoonwolf, Arcane Cowboy, Susanooo and 1 other reacted to this
Rammstein117 227 Posted December 20, 2017 I'm gonna go with the classic white, at least for the core set. If I add more units down the line I might change it up. Though I will likely just do a weathered and gritty squad and then a polished glossy white on others. I still don't care for colored stormtroopers. 4 Felswrath, Sorsha30, Tirion and 1 other reacted to this

Omnustechni 120 Posted December 20, 2017 I do like the red, but 501st being led around by Vader would be pretty sweet.

Jabby 1,042 Posted December 21, 2017 I’m going to do them white but with different coloured shoulders to differentiate the squads 5 ninclouse2000, wintermoonwolf, Sentry71 and 2 others reacted to this
Copes 225 Posted December 21, 2017 Classic white, with some subtle variations to the specialty troopers (shoulders and what not). I'll draw heavily from Battlefront II. 2 wintermoonwolf and Tirion reacted to this

Sirdrasco 254 Posted December 21, 2017 Classic white for me, with different shoulder pad for the Sgt. Additionally I'll paint a ring around the base to differentiate the squads. 2 Sentry71 and wintermoonwolf reacted to this
Copes 225 Posted December 22, 2017 I actually picked up a pack of Imperial Assault Stormtroopers today - I've never painted a mini before, and I don't want my first ones to be the pieces I'm going to play with. I'm gonna try to paint them in January when I pick up some paints and brushes.

Susanooo 113 Posted December 22, 2017 as for my army i think i will go for the 501 clone legion colour scheme for regular stormtroopers, and my snowtroopers will be painted like the clone ones exept i will go for 501st blue instead of red. 2 AldousSnow and Felswrath reacted to this
Indy_com 1,144 Posted December 22, 2017 You could paint the Stormtrooper with the Rocket Launcher to be a shock trooper for some variety. Other than that, sniper troopers (stormies with snipers, not scouts) had blue pauldrons and commanders had orange. Since pauldrons aren't really on the regular stormtroopers, you could just use the shoulder plate instead. The new snowtrooper with a flamethrower could be painted as an imperial Flametrooper (top of helmet, shoulder pads and lower legs being dark red). 1 AldousSnow reacted to this
methoderik 13 Posted December 22, 2017 Gonna go white, but going to do some color somewhere to separate my army from others. My group does lots of mini tournaments and inevitably we will have Imperial vs Imperial matches. I love the dark grey and black lines on the FO Tank troopers and could see myself doing something like that on my whole army. 4 1 wintermoonwolf, AldousSnow, Felswrath and 2 others reacted to this
AldousSnow 822 Posted December 22, 2017 I think Ill be starting with 3 units of Stormtroopers when the game launches. I'm big into my entire army having a cohesive look, but each unit having their own motif. My Alpha Squad will have these markings, but in red. My Bravo Squad will be traditional white, with the unit leader having a red pauldron. Charlie Squad will be closer to Shock Troopers. And Delta Squad will be my Snowtroopers, painted like Galactic Marines. 3 Felswrath, OldSchoolEmpire and Nihm reacted to this
Susanooo 113 Posted December 23, 2017 AldousSnow i will je also making by snowtroopers in a clone marine colour scheme but as i said i will switch red for blue to keep the 501 scheme. as for the scouttroopers i think i will go for 41 elite camk scheme but with 501 markings 1 AldousSnow reacted to this
