Obligatory film ranking thread

Recommended Posts

I haven’t seen 8 yet, but I’ll edit when I do.  I know I’ll catch flack also.... but....

r1, 6, 8, 3, 5, 1, 4, 7                       2

edit: Saw the film now.  It was good.  Lots of mistakes, but a film I would watch again to pick up on small details.  I also like how they dive into the philosophy of the force in this one

Ok so now that VIII is out, where does it fit in your SW film rankings? Please no reviews or editorializing, there are other threads for that.

Ok I’ll go first:

IV, V, VIII, R1, VII, VI, III, II, I.

If you include Rogue 1 then you will have to include the Ewok Adventures.:D

can't pick between A New Hope and Empire Strikes back

then Jedi,

then last Jedi,

then the Force Awakens

then Revenge of the Sith

then Phantom Menace

then Attack of the Clones

I don't count Rogue 1 for anything, apart from a few choice memes

I say it's

Empire, R1, New Hope, Last Jedi, RotJ, ...............prequels

Last Jedi could have been a lot worse. Fortunately they avoided some problems. It wasnt just a rehash of Empire, it had an original plotline with decent depth which was a miracle coming from Abrams, the heroes were mostly not mary-sues whose crazy plan always works, etc...

Killing Snoke was a bold move. Risky, but it worked because they had Kylo be the one to kill him instead of Rey Ex Machina. It also means that we now have some interesting bad guys instead of a rather ephemeral threat of an unknown character.

The humor was sometimes over the top, but not too much. It was largely on point.

That would require effort to go look up their titles and yo mama gets jealous if I take more than 30 seconds to post.

(Still can't get over yo mama jokes in star wars...)

Until Star Wars kills them. Oh snap, I just realize Star Wars been killing moms as much as Disney even before the acquisition.
