"Omega Ace" and Targeting sync

How exactly does Omega Ace interact with targeting synchronizer? I was trying to build a casual list and I wanted to know if a ship with targeting sync give Omega ace the target lock needed for his ability.

It does. Omega Ace's ability is a "game effect" as mentioned on the Targeting Synchronizer card.

Edit: So you can spend a lock from a ship with TS to trigger Omega Ace's ability.

The likely reason for Targeting Synchronizer's clunky wording (instead of just going with the wording from Shara Bey) is to specifically stop it from working with Omega Leader and Advanced Targeting Computer when it was released.  TS will also not work with the new missile gunboat title to override a weapons disabled.
