The Empire Is Good

You did overlook the fact that the overall leader- the Commander in Chief - who ordered the mobilisation and use of said army was, of course, Chancellor Palpatine.

That puts him at the head of the Slave Army.

The one ultimately responsible for every death recorded at their hands and blasters.

Without his Authorisation - and indeed, it was his first act under the Emergency Powers, thus, the first act that did not require Senate approval - The Army would never have been Used.

It is entirely on his head.

Lies, deception. The slave Army was already created by the Jedi. It was only at their urging that he was deceived into authorizing their use. Of course you a known Rebel and traitor I would try to maliciously slander the good name of our beloved Emperor. One day soon the ISB will find where you're hiding and deal with you accordingly.

But, had he not authorised this army, then the Separatists would have overrun the Republic easily due to it’s ineffectual Judicial Forces. This would likely result in even further opression by the Seperatist forces.

Evil Done for Good's sake does not make that Evil Good.

It is still Evil.

Otherwise, a cornerstone of the counter-rebellion argument is nullified.

For example.  I do good.  But I use Evil means to do it.

The difference is, I don't consider myself Good.

I will have no place in the Universe once the Republic is restored.  I will not deserve it.

Which is my point.

The Empire is Ineffectual and Blustering.

For my position is known, and yet I go un-silenced.

Blustering maybe, we do have a lot to brag about, but not really ineffectual. It's merely a matter of jurisdiction. I I am not currently authorized to sanction actions outside of the Empire. The unknown regions are not a part of the Empire. Technically speaking we have no authority there. If you think a small-time propagandist is cause enough for us to create a diplomatic dispute in the frozen wastelands (usually, at least by any civilized standard) of Hothgary then you've been drinking too much of your own Kool-Aid. Despite what your Rebel propaganda claims, the empire respects the autonomy of other peaceful Galactic governments.

Every Hour I go un-silenced is a Blemish upon the Ever-Tarnishing Facade of the Empire's capability!

So, by all means.

Take.  Your.  Time.

Now who's blustering? You could never blemish nor tarnish the glory of the Empire's capabilities.

To a Southern Imperial like me anywhere in Canada is the unknown regions.

I am contemplating an excursion into the Northern Wastes in early February to crush the Rebellion of Hothgary. When/if I do so, I shall crush him once and for all.

We are not doubting our virtuous Emperor (may he forever reign in peace). We are stating the arguments of known traitors, to learn the truth and thus be able to better deal with them in the future.

One does not argue with known traitors. One destroys them.

And yet,

Still.

I remain.

I cannot wait to see the look on @Mikael Hasselstein's face when he goes to confront me, and instead of a Rag-Tag band of Scraps, he find he faces the latest of Imperial Equipment!

That will be a Win/Win for me...  Whether or not he is defeated is irrelevant...  Only Imperial Equipment shall be destroyed!

Let me present another point: the Yuuzhan Vong. These were, for those of you who are uneducated Rebels, an extragalactic invasion force that relies on bioengineered technology and terraforms worlds. Palpatine knew about this long beforehand. But the Republic couldn’t have stopped it. The fleets the Vong had would have torn apart the Judicial Forces. And remember, the Vong had planet sized ships. Did the Republic have the capability to destroy planets? The fleets necessary to even hold back the Vong would never have been built by the Republic. What Palpatine needed, what the galaxy needed, was a strong, military focused, strong government. This wasn’t possible in the Republic. Palpatine saw the problem: the Republic itself. And he removed the problem completely transforming it from a weak minded government to a strong centralised government. This new Empire could now build a military force strong enough to fight the Vong. If you look into the Vong war, one of the more effective militaries against the Vong was the Imperial Remnant, showing that the Empire, even in its decline, could hold the Vong off. Also, the Vong were a completely militarised society. It would take an equally militarised government to fight them back.

“In fact, it's not really even fair to say that they "won" the war in any sense, with a sizable portion of the population of the galaxy eradicated, Coruscant, the former shining jewel at the heart of every major government for millennia, captured and terraformed beyond recognition, and the New Republic forced to reconstruct itself as the Galactic Alliance. Undoubtedly, for all it's flaws, the Empire could have hammered out a far less Pyrrhic victory over the Vong”

And yet...

Here.  We.  Are.

Besides, Thrawn himself learned "To Defeat an Enemy, you must know them." from his most respected opponent, Nightswan.

Just as I take from him, too...  "The Empire is Corrupt.  It will fall on its own given enough time...   We're just...  Helping it along."

So be it. Authoritarianism always returns. The Republic at times was Authoritarian, the Empire was, the Galactic Alliance. There’s no point even trying.

If you flew the Empire against me, the look would be one of disappointment, as it would be clear that you did not have the courage of Rebellious convictions to employ your Rebel forces against me.

Truly. But I must know how to counter dissension within our own ranks.

By doing as superiors tell you to do, and not questioning their authority.

Mon Mothma only seeks to set herself up as the Robert Mugabe of the galaxy. Should she succeed (she will not), her fate will be the same as his (if she's lucky - but she won't be, because the Empire shall prevent it).
