Raurth 0 Posted December 5, 2017 Came up in a game yesterday: Ageless Crone is committed as a defender to a conflict in which Yoshi is participating. Yoshi discards the favour. How much do events cost? One less? Two less to a minimum of zero, then plus one? Does this change if Yoshi uses his ability, and then the Crone is played directly into the conflict? GM81 Protocol Droid 142 Posted December 5, 2017 Modifiers are calculated simultaneously, regardless of the order of play (baring modifiers to base or printed values). Yoshi and Crone both in play would be a net effect of 1 less Fate cost for the events for the Crane player. Kakita Yoshi Action: While this character is participating in a conflict, discard the Imperial Favor – draw 3 cards. Reduce the cost of each event you play during this conflict by 2. Agless Crone During a conflict in which this character is participating, increase the cost for each player to play each event by 1. RR - Modifiers The calculation of a value treats all modifiers as being applied simultaneously. However while performing the calculation, all additive and subtractive modifiers should be calculated before doubling and/or halving modifiers are calculated. 1 HirumaShigure reacted to this
Vendettar 0 Posted December 7, 2017 Yoshis ability is no event. so no cost raise.
Horizonshard 38 Posted December 7, 2017 3 minutes ago, Vendettar said: Yoshis ability is no event. so no cost raise. Yes, but Yoshi's ability causes events played to have a reduced cost by two. The Crone increases the cost of events by one. So the net result is that all events played by the Crane player after Yoshi's ability is used have their cost reduced by one. shosuko 2,174 Posted December 8, 2017 Its +1 and -2 then to a minimum of 0, so for the player with Yoshi their events are total -1 cost.
