I mean, I'd passed on the last 3 or 4 of them. But I need more mafia in my life...

How did NaNoWriMo go for you?  I can't write at that pace, but have been doing about 4k a week for the last month which is much better than I usually do.

Only 3000 words total, but that's because I very quickly realized both that my outlining was wholly inadequate and that my writing style didn't work with the pace. I revise as I go, often a lot, so word vomit is difficult for me

I always remember nanowrimo about nov 15th and am so sad i missed it... again...

In college my roommate and I would bang out a book in nov, usually involving at least 4-5 days where we would write 12 hours at a time only stopping to heat pizza or smoke during the week of thanksgiving. Then we would read each others draft first 2 weeks of december, and then spend the christmas break with 3-4 more 12 hour writing days doing final edits. Some of the best times of my life!!

Just sad I no longer have any of those efforts since while moving into my first house the box with my only print copys got soaking wet and my laptop with them saved on it got stolen only a couple weeks later before i could reprint them.

That was 9 years ago and I havent been able to find the groove since, but I always have the best intention of getting back and doing nanowrimo!
