devin.pike.1989 1,546 Posted November 5, 2017 How are you guys planning on painting these things? I was going to go for the standard grey and red... Then I saw this: Looks pretty sweet! 2 Ailowynn and Ghostofman reacted to this
HadeusHawkyns 48 Posted November 5, 2017 That's a nice find! And no one can complain if they didn't like the color because Disney said it was ok I figured at least one would be Gray/Red. Trying to decide on a different color scheme for the other one though. I like blue, I'm just not sure what I'd pair it with (and am open to suggestions). Gray would make it look more in line with the usual but it's fun to mix things up sometimes.
devin.pike.1989 1,546 Posted November 5, 2017 If I wanted to go wild with it I might consider doing a WW2 US Navy paint scheme like this: 2 Stasy and miridor reacted to this

ozmodon 535 Posted November 5, 2017 A thin yellow strip across the nose and down the sides could be very cool.

Hawkstrike 5,408 Posted November 5, 2017 I'm not a fan of the red, but the yellow stripes, or the blue one, look great! 1 C3POFETT reacted to this

Ralgon 1,005 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rogue_Squadron/Legends?file=Rogue_Squadron_Scalf.jpg interesting pic of rogue squadron x wing livery which could translate, which if iirc spent plenty of time in t47's anyway between hoth and the games Edited November 6, 2017 by Ralgon
The Black Man 215 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) I thought this was really interesting in regards to the sandspeeder T-47. Never knew Kenner had one planned: The Sandspeeder was planned to be implemented into Kenner's The Epic Continues storyline, but the line had been cancelled. It was included in a binder containing several images of planned toys within The Epic Continues, some of which later appeared in the article Tales of Phantom Toys in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine. It eventually appeared in canon with the Special Saga Edition of the Customizable Card Game, as one of the light-side cards. KrisWall 966 Posted November 8, 2017 I'm confused. I've gone through my entire Imperial Assets Requisition Log, but can't find a reference to a "T-47" anywhere. Are you sure you didn't get the designation wrong? I did a comprehensive data search for "T-47" and the only reference I could find was in some old targeting routines in a recovered AT-ST data core. That can't be right. Nobody would willingly fly a rebel vehicle. 2 Jabby and Orcdruid reacted to this
Dr. Doktur 15 Posted December 31, 2017 KrisWall, I think they may be referring to the 74-Z speeder bike. "Z" sounds like "T" and 47 is 74 backwards. Long live the empire! 2 Orcdruid and Jabby reacted to this

Cal B 2 Posted October 21, 2018 Definitely going Sandspeeder colors, but that's because I have sand bases. QUESTION! should I use a Brown Panel liner or black?
TauntaunScout 4,276 Posted October 21, 2018 White to off white with a bunch of blue accents. Eventaully I'll mask off diagonal lines on the blue accents and fill them in with orange lines. Since orange and blue are opposites it'll look good. 1 C3POFETT reacted to this

They even conceptualized and designed a Clone Wars toy line way before Lucas decided to bring the Prequels to life. Indy_com 1,144 Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) Lego made a Sandspeeder set a short while ago. It looks somewhat similar to the Kenner one. [Removed Image] Colour scheme looks a bit more realistic than the Bright Orange of Kenner tho, so it might be the better painting choice. Someone who knows how to use greenstuff could probably add the fins to theirs as well. EDIT: I did a stupid and didn't look at the original post. Please ignore. aniron 218 Posted October 23, 2018 When I get around to painting mine I'll be doing the classic Hoth Rogue Squadron schemes, as seen in ESB. http://fichtenfoo.net/blog/reference-»-esb-snowspeeder-screen-shots/ 1 C3POFETT reacted to this
Digimortal 104 Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) Interestingly I painted mine similar to your inspiration, I am creating a desert theme for my Terrain so wanted a logical scheme, spending hours painting a sunset 360 degrees in all the windows of the mini is entirely optional.
