Jamie how are there 120 slots? I think we'd need double-decker tables.

You would be amazed at how close you can set up a table and place the players with table service and a potty so no one has to move..... just don’t bring blockade run ?

If that's true David's going to need all hands on deck at lunch and dinner. And I make zero objectives promises. I'm hereby promising myself my Regionals fleet will be two ISDs (and something).

As an out of towner that is coming down, I'm wondering if most of the pre-registered people are regulars or if you have a good number from outside the area registering. It was fun watching the stream from the October tournament!

I can't speak to how many people are registered from out of town but during the October tournament there were at least four of us out of 10 from out of state.

Friendly reminder (since @Astrodar jogged my memory) that at least I will be eating at the Waffle House something like .4 of a mile away (or as I like to say down the hill and most of the way back up it) on Saturday morning before having my hopes and dreams of more dice viciously smashed. All are welcome to join me. I will aim to be there an hour and a half to three quarters before the tournament (i.e. dice rolling) begins, and I'll have the Hat with me, so I'll stand out.

PS @jamie nasmyth are dice rolling at 9 or 10?

Depending upon weather and numbers between 9.30 and 10am. I would encourage people to get there as close to 9am as possible.

@jamie nasmyth Yeah we are starting to get some actual snow on the ground over here in Marietta. Not sticking to the roads yet but it may ice overnight. Should mostly melt by midday tomorrow. I'll still drive it but people should be aware of possible icy roads. Drive safe people!

Michigan regional is noon start with 4 rounds. There's a reason I'm not going to hold onto my bye.

Yes, my breakfast will move according to the tournament start, provided I'm not iced in myself. I'm supposed to get it worse than Giga, so we'll see what happens.

I got one too. I was planning to hold it for when we play four rounds, but now I may burn it either way.

My MIL sent some pictures of the area. It's looking pretty white. They let out school and closed most government in Cobb. Sadly this may prevent me from making the drive down. I'd be driving there and back when the roads would be the iciest.

Regionals has been delayed until noon, likely to become a three round event. We will continue to update as the night wears on/it becomes clear how thick the ice will be.

Please do whatever will allow you to be safe.

Yeah I'm not that far away from Giga (South Cobb, maybe 20 minutes) and we have about six inches of snow here. If its not melted down enough there is no way I'm making it out of my neighborhood in the morning. And weather service is saying 50% chance of more snow in the morning

Update from downtown Atlanta (about fifteen miles southwest of Giga): still snowing, but at a rate I would describe for rain as a drizzle. Much of the roadways aren't ice covered but waterlogged, as air temperature hovers at 34. Forecasts do include dropping to 32 shortly before dawn, so time will tell how much actually freezes. Current scheduled start time for dice is 12pm; another update confirming or denying that will follow in the morning.

...so I don't think I'm going to make it. Maybe if enough melts before 11:00 to make it over there but its still lightly snowing at the moment :/
