While i know that most of the focus is on competitive play and it seems pretty clear you need multiple Core Sets for that - what i need is a way to lure others of my gaming group into playing this game to start with... The rule book has a card list for a starter deck for Lion and Crane but are there lists / suggestions for other "starter" decks (i.e pairs of decks you can produce from a single Core Set) in order for me to show my ignorant friends just how great this game is? The lrn 2 play just says split the nuetral cards evenly between 2 players since only ~10 conflict cards, ~15 dynasty cards, and 1 province per clan in the core set. Mirith 1,304 Posted October 10, 2017 I mentioned this in another thread, but we had a lot of luck building multiple decks out of 2 cores. Just 30/30 card decks with 2 of each clan card in it. We were able to build 4 viable and reasonably fun decks out of 2 cores to demonstrate the game. Single core suffers from not really demonstrating the clans very well.
