Multiple Schools

I must have missed this part, but perhaps it's not there:

Can a character have multiple schools?

Can they advance 2 schools at once, or only one at a time?

I think that is not the beta rules included. Maybe they will include it later.

There are mentions in regards to this.... 

 

I think what might work is if you'd have a "rank 0" advancement table, which if you fulfill, you can get rank 1 of the school, and the school ability, but nothing else. No new skills or techs.

That's what I was thinking, a set of prerequisites for the school. But I think a narrative explanation would be important too.
