On The Boat

Recommended Posts

Nah, it's a new product so I think they would want to fast track it through the steps to get it out quicker. I'm guessing maybe we'll have it by Halloween, Thanksgiving at the latest. Non of the sites I frequent are showing a release date yet, just "Q4 2017".

Even fast tracked you are likely looking at 6 weeks.  I'd guess 2nd week of November at the earliest, and that's if there are absolutely no hiccups in the process.  A strike, a work slow down, bad weather, or any number of other issues could delay it more.

Shipping over the Pacific is time consuming, then you have time at dock, customs, shipping to MN.

On the boat also open up the possibility for air-shipped copies for Spiel Essen.  Anyone able to confirm whether or not it will available at Spiel?

Hope we start getting more info on the game soon. Curious if they have plans for the older stuff. Would love to see some NCR stuff or even pre-NCR.

I think we'll start to see some more details.  They'll likely release weekly or bi-weekly articles till release giving us more in depth looks into various game concepts.

In my experience they do mass updates, not individual ones. So while it used to say at the printers, it may have been on the boat for a week by the time we got that update. This seems like a lucrative new IP for them, and getting it out in October, say, maybe the 23rd for no specific reason, would be good for them so that xmas sales are strong.

Were the NCR mentioned in any of the installments prior to New Vegas? I never played FO1 or 2 but if I missed that in all the hours I played FO3 I think I'll be disappointed in myself. Personally I feel that if they include some NCR material, they'd be obligated to include Caesars Legion and Mr.House material as well. I'd hope they wouldn't make expansions for each and every faction separately. But the real issue with that is Obsidian developed New Vegas, not Bethesda. FFG might not even have any rights to the NCR material, or anything from New Vegas for that matter, which would be a real bummer.

If memory serves, The Vault Dweller (the player character in F1) helps the people of the small village of Shady Sands who between F1 and F2 lays the foundation for the NCR. In F2, The Chosen One (PC in F2) can do a number of side quests to help guide the NCR in slightly different directions.

Yes that's true the beginnings of the NCR are laid in Fallout 1 and in Fallout 2 the name NCR already exists.
