The best thing you can do for your lightsaber, in my opinion, would be to juggle some xp around and devote a Proficiency slot or two into the Skill. I understand you're a Consular.. but this is war! Other than this suggestion, I'm afraid I don't have much experience with specific lightsaber builds.

XD. I do not mind remaking her slightly into a warrior as she is mace windu's padawan, but i kinda needa wait for the warrior source book for the vaapad spec

Okay.. I was checking out the ascension mechanics, to see how difficult it would be for Slugger to grab Doc, and ascend with him...

RAW, it looks like using the ascension cables is a 2 Action process:

  • Action to set the cable, and...
  • Action to climb (no check, or Avg Athletics if climbing with another)

Definitely not trying to be the rules lawyer, here- just want your input on how I should proceed with narrating my post. @Rabobankrider

Cyclone Squad has just spent nine months (real-world time, not in-game time) training on Kamino. It may be a very long time before you spiral through the Juyo tree to reach Vaapad Control. Not to mention 30xp just to pick up the tree. Not trying to discourage you, but don't want you to become frustrated with your character, either. Make sure your Jedi is capable and fun to play now, and the advancement will come, with time. 

If Juyo is what you really want, there may be enough information available on the forum, to start with that spec.

Nah it's not a must, it's just exciting to hear the spec comin out as i rlly like vaapad. I have no problem with mt specs now tbh, just decidin whether she shd be a consular or sentinel or warrior. Cse if im doin niman disciple like i am now, akua and anler will basically be the same XD. My 3 specs in mind r shien expert, niman disciple and shii-cho knight tbh. But as i made akua(the master ver) to be a very offensive force user(full move, protect/unleash, bind, and force leap maxed) to go with her lightsaber skills, i'm not sure which to be now XD. 

 

Just saw the juyo spec and the steel hand adept spec. I think im makin akua a juyo practitioner for the clone wars cause **** i rlly love that spec!

 

But tbh, the main thing i hv now is to craft a lightsaber cse i hv completely no clue how to do so XD

Btw, those anyone know the career skills given by the juyo berserker spec? I know the book is out, but cant find info online so yeah... and i really really like the spec XD. Plus im making it her second spec tree, once i gain more xp

Ok, so I completely remade Akua, making her a juyo berserker. This is the roll I made for creating the lightsaber. Its an average lore check. 

 

Akua lightsaber crafting: 1eA+1eP+2eD 2 successes, 1 threat

@Kymrel, is your total xp 150? Or is it more? Cause to me it seems like its more, based on the amount of talents and stuff u hv XD

I know there was some confusion with the character creation, so here it is, hope this is clearer than before :)

 

For character creation, you will want the following:

  1. Select a species, this will have your free ranks, special features and starting xp.
  2. Choose between recruit (for clones), or force sensitive emergent (for jedi). Instead of your usual specialization, this is where you spend your starting xp and the free ranks. 
  3. When you have spent your starting xp, you also get a free career and specialization. 
  4. After this you can spend 40 xp (I think that's what I gave out) as you see fit. 
  5. Finally, select your equipment like I set out earlier. 

@Edgehawk, if you want to spend a dp I'd say you can have planned in advance and have already set the cable. 

Also, as a quick reminder, you only need 1 person to take the pole at the top of the tower.

Bravo team completed the test with just one clone on top but, I suggest everybody wounded attempts the ascension. I think Slugger's light-range is higher than mine so you should have a fair chance. Yet, if I'm not realizing something, of course, its everybody's own call.

Is Specialist (non clone/ non Jedi) an option, and if so, what would be the creation guidelines?

@Edgehawk it is, but if multiple people want to make one I would ask there only be 1 in play at a time. The rules for creation are exactly the same as the clone, except with whatever species you choose. The idea behind this is that anyone joining the army would get some basic training to stay alive, which is why recruit is still a part.

Hmm.. Would you consider any of the new Universal specs from DoR to be appropriate for generating a backup character? Mechanically, they would work the same way, and it would bring more diversity into play. 

Not that I'm looking to retire Gunslinger anytime soon.

Guess we're close then. So, for everyone else, what are you going to make the backup characters?

Seems like Doc has some future as a marksman and healer, so I was thinking of shoring up the short-range to melee side of things: go Vanguard and go spread-barrel blaster rifle or slugthrower shotgun as well as a melee weapon.

Oh ok. So I in the end, I have to use the 105 starting xp of a miraluka on tge force sensitive emergent tree, then add 55 xp to use on my juyo berserker tree?
