Star Wars Clone Wars: Cyclone Squad OOC

Oh and i’m gonna assume there are no more encounters after this, will use the vaapad control talent every turn now to optimise my attacks. Probably will do inner peace(think its dat?) aft dis encounter, hopefully can recover all the strain.

This is a pretty big battle, so I don't know what else we would be saving the Destiny Points for if not this.  So I have no issue with it.

Also, and this is just a personal thought on strategy everyone, but I think our best bet is to focus fire on a single squad until it drops, and then move to a new target.   Each squad we remove, is one less attack coming our way entirely.  If others have another strategy, or talents that can provide another plan, I'm all for it.   But seems to me dropping slots in the roster ASAP is probably a good way to go.   We seem to be kind of doing that anyway, just thought I would actually voice it for consideration.  Thoughts anyone?

Yeah. Knock'em down one Squad at a time, as they come up the steps.

@KungFuFerret, Spanner can be behind one of the statues yeah. 

@player3333902, as minions it would not be a d100 roll, instead a crit instantly kills one of the minions in the squad. Using embrace your hatred as well is enough to kill the squad entirely (adding 4 conflict to Akua) so I will remove them from the list.

Can Gunslinger throw the other thermal detonator into the ranks of droids, in such a way that our Squad and nests won't be included in the blast?

edit: more specifically, can be use strong arm to throw it over the droids to Medium range (so Short range from the droids, but on the other side).

If only... with a measly 0 shillouette, sadly she cant do anyth much... yet XD

Sil 0 objects still do I think...what, 5 wounds damage?  And that's base, not counting any additional successes you roll on the attack roll of Discipline.  And any ranged damage is better than none, if ranged damage is what you are trying to do.

Sounds like i can do smth diff XD. But i think my lightsaber wld still do way more dmg

Yeah I'm just saying, while your ranged damage isn't insane (yet), it's on par with some ranged light blaster pistols, which isn't bad if you REALLY need to hit something at range.

@player3333902, unless you have a talent like jump up etc, it will be a manoeuvre. 

@Edgehawk, as the thermal detonator is only a grenade, I don't think it has the same range as a more traditional explosive (baradium etc). This means it will only his the target, and anything within engaged range of the target. You should be fine to throw it while the enemy is at short range and not catch you or the others in the blast. :)

I'm gonna move closer to Gunslinger if I'm not already at engaged with him and suffer a strain to use the Bodyguard maneuver to protect him. While I'm at engaged range with him for the duration of this round, all combat checks against him have their difficulty upgraded by 1. My own +1 to defense from Moving Target still applies to me. I'll then fire at the B2 squad with autofire on.
