Excuse me, I have a question
about the line of sight and the arc of fire at the moment of making an attack.
To fire with a ship at an enemy hull zone, you have to check 3 things.
1. Range (I do not have any questions about this now)
2. Firing Arc
3. Line of Sight
FIRING ARC:
The rules are clear about this. I can only fire at stuff inside my arc (p.8) You simply check if ANY part of the targeted hull zone is at least partially within your arc. In the pictures, your arc is sho
If the ISD's front arc were within the side arc of the GSD, you could. In this case, because the arc line for your GSD's side arc falls outside the ISD's front arc, you don't have the shot.
An example of your own arc not obstructing LoS, I think, is this:
The MC30 has shots into the ISD's front arc from both of the MC30's side arcs (as well as from its front arc). Both of the MC30's side arcs encompass a piece of the ISD's front arc, and LoS from the MC30's side arc yellow dots
